The most interesting point, to me :

We were told that the Hogwarts Express will indeed be the link between the two parks, and in fact, there will be THREE trains running on monorail type tracks. There will not be windows on the train, but in fact video screens, where the riders will watch one of six movies that were filmed by the cast (including Helena Bonham-Carter) months ago. The ride will effectively link The Wizarding World to the alternate park at Universal Studios, encouraging fans to inevitably buy tickets to both parks in order to enjoy the full Harry Potter experience.

I was wondering how they would keep the illusion from being ruined as they go through other areas of the parks - pretty evil genuis to have people buy tickets to both parks, though :stir::stir:

Sounds very promising, but I don't see the point of a 2-park ticket for just a day. IOA is more than enough for a full day. Other than that, this might be the solution for the crowds to split up into both parks.

The idea is to get people to visit both parks. When the WWoHP opened, IOA's attendance numbers had HUGE increases.... but US only had a relatively small jump in annual attendance. Most people were coming over to the resort for only a single day to visit the one park.

The goal here (and helped by the new Cabana Bay hotel being built), is to get people to not only buy tickets that will get them into both parks in a single day, but to actually get them to spend more than 1 day at the resort.

To move the Universal resort out of a simple Day-trip destination when visiting the mouse, into someplace that people will spend a full day at both parks, stay onsite at between their park days... and even possibly check out the many evening entertainment options available in their shopping and entertainment district between the 2 parks.

I would like to take the Hogwarts Express and I guess I'd be fine with buying a park hopper ticket for both parks, but honestly other than WWoHP I don't really do rollercoasters and so Universal will always be a 1 day thing for me.:wizard:

There is a LOT more to do at the Universal parks than just Rollercoasters. In fact, between the 2 parks, There are only 6 rollers coasters.... 2 of which are kiddie coasters

We went to universal IOA last year, and spent 2 days. Definitely worth the money and there is a LOT more to do than the roller coasters! I'm excited for the hogwarts express- I'm a massive HP nerd though haha
