I am going to call my guide today.
okay,
I am now very confused. Our close date is not until June but we signed our paperwork last wk and received our incentives.
Can we still change our deal? I would like to keep our cruise but the RCI certficate is basically worthless unless you can travel last minute. Plus, Mary Poppins tickets and $300 Visa. Seems like the lower cost on AKL would still be better.
Question #2 - Even if we could change incentives - do you now have put up the full 10 percent down or can you still apply the price point reduction to down payment? We used the downpayment assistance with the idea of putting money back down next year when we receive our 8K refund for buying home this year.
Seems like with these price reductions, we WAY overpaid per point for AKL.
Thanks for the advice! By the by, we bought 200 points (only want 1BR in off season and like to bank points sometimes). Hoping for one of the Italy Adventures one day![]()
OK, maybe I'm really dense but the way I'm reading this new members get $$ off & a cruise while current members just get a cruise for the first option? Or do you mean that the discounts are for current members also in addition to the cruise? And if you choose option 2 there is a double discount for current members? This would mean I could get $16 off at GCV instead of 150 DP for my 150 point purchase?
It appears that you would get either $8 off per point ($104/pt) + a 3 night cruise. But it's a little tough to tell so maybe it's $6 off.
or you could chose to take $14 off per point ($98/pt) with no other incentives. If the above is $6 then you'd get $12 off per point.
Essentially, it appears DVC decided to roll back prices to last years cost but no additional incentives.Nuff said about the price increase they did a few months ago in this economy.
Just spoke with my guide 10 minutes ago. We have paperwork pending for a 105pt add-on at VGC with the cruise incentive. She verified that with this new incentive, an add-on for us would be $98/pt.
We were not too interested in the cruise, but this new incentive will probably do it for us.

senecabeach-Thanks so much for posting these!!
I have a question. If exisiting members add on 200pts. and do not want the cruise option, is there an even larger per pt. discount?...meaning more than $16 off?
Bumping up the question an case anyone might know?![]()
Does anyone know if there are any discounts for 25 points? 50 points? Thanks!
I am curious to this as well. Anyone know? I'm not sure we need 100 more points, but 50 would be great.
Does anyone know if you can still take the discount off the down payment? Or is it the 10% down, then the discount comes off? Thanks!![]()
Just talked with my guide and here's what incentive options he offered me for buying 100 VGC points:
OPTION 1: $8 off per point plus 3 day cruise category 8
OPTION 2: $14 ($8 discount, plus $6 discount since no cruise)
OPTION 3 (for Disney VISA purchase): $800 gift certificate plus two annual passes (at WDW or DL)
OPTION 4: $5 off plus matching developer points to be used by Oct. 3 (this incentive is expired, supposedly, but since I put in my request yesterday I can still get it)
You are adding on correct? I am also looking at 100 GCV and right now have option 4 as posted. My $5 off reduced my downpayment which is a consideration.
If you take Option 3 that is $8 off per point and 2 AP's instead of the cruise?
