new in 2018 - barcelona to civitavecchia - port excursions at final port?

Hi!
We're doing the June 16th Magic from barcelona to Civitavecchia (rome). our final port is Civitavecchia on June 23rd- it's the final stop/disembark - will there be shore excursions this day? I've never done a one way cruise before.

I’ll bet there will be. My cruise ends in Barcelona and they have a few post-cruise excursions for that city. They have to be booked on the ship, though, not in advance.

Most cruiselines offer excursions on the last day, another chance to get your money. If I were you’d I’d add a couple days in Rome after your cruise and take your time exploring. I spent a week there before my cruise as a teenager and thought it was an amazing city, one of my favorites. I know we bought a bulk tour package where you got to skip the lines at all the popular places and it was like half the cost.

When we did our B2B Med./WBTA last year there was a post-cruise to Monserrat from Barcelona, after our first cruise, offered by DCL. We already planned to see La Rambla between cruises, so did not take them up on this side trip. I would imagine DCL will offer options, perhaps even through Adventures by Disney as well for you in Rome. You'll have a great time among the ruins...lots of history there...some still being made at the Vatican.
