new ice hockey schedules?

I have a few days in New York in October and would like to see the Lion King show and take my boys to a Rangers game. Can anyone tell me when the new season schedules are likely to be out so that I can work round the ice hockey to book the theatre? I have tried emailing Rangers but they just said 'later in the summer' - does that mean early June or late August?

Usually the hockey schedules come out sometime in July. Of course, there is a very good chance there will not be a hockey season (or only a shortened hockey season) because of a lock out due the talks over a new collective bargaining agreement.

I will tell you that Rangers tickets are very difficult to get (unless you get them right when they go onsale).

I wouldn't wait too long to get the Lion King tickets. They always sell out.
