Just saw this on slickdeals:

I just got a call from Miry from the marketing firm that is handling the campaign for LMT (I don't want to disclose their name for obvious reasons). We had a good 20-25 minute talk and she was SUPER nice.

Here are some highlights from the conversation:

1) They have contacted Guiness World Records about the category "largest chatroom without anyone saying anything" and Guiness has informed them that they are approving that category.

2) If all goes through as planned, LMT will be putting out a press release regarding this in the next few days.

3) LMT is fully aware of the Chatango chat room and they LOVE it. I told Miry that a lot of people were scared that LMT would not want to continue the promotion once they see the amount of people in there, and she said it was the exact opposite. They feel the more people are in the chat room, the better it is, because they want to expose as many people as possible to the promotion.

4) LMT feels that the promotion is going GREAT and they want to have future promotions and be knows as the "crazy promotion" company. Miry doesn't know exactly what type of promotions, but she does know that they are considering doing many more of them in the future.

5) There are several other things Miry talked to me about which might happen in the next few days but I don't want to discuss them until that point.

Overall, it was a great talk and I really like the direction LMT and their marketing company is taking this. They seem VERY down to earth and personable and we said we'd keep in touch

I certainly don't want to burst any bubbles, but just because a hotel shows up now doesn't necessarily mean it will show up during promo. When I did it last week the deluxes would should up before and after promo but only values would show up during promo for my dates. People have been able to book a deluxe for other dates so it is possible, just be prepared.

Yes, this is true. I had nearly every hotel show up on the original list. Everytime once the session started, all that was left were values and houses.

They might be doing that just to get around the contest/tax issue.

That said, I also agree with the PP who said that it's worth the money in taxes even if you do have to pay them (that's like 75% off!)
