Save Up to 35% at a Disneyland Resort Hotel
Stay and save up to 35% most Sunday through Thursday nights at a Disneyland Resort hotel when you travel between January 2 and February 29, 2012. Travel must be complete March 1, 2012. With this Winter offer, you'll enjoy being just steps away from both parks and the Downtown Disney District

I only get to benefit for one day because we check out on Jan 3 :sad1:. I also had to revise my reservation to be split, to get the ~$100 off of the last night...was on the phone for 25 minutes just to get that done :confused3

Yes, I was excited until I saw:

when you travel between January 2 and February 29

A good deal, but you have to wait for it!:)

We are getting 30% off our stay at the Grand Californian in December (Fall AP Discount) which is pretty good.

Lisa, would you mind telling me what actual rate you are paying for the Grand?

I'm an AP holder and looking on the AP site for December I'm not seeing anything close to what we've paid in the past. I've never paid more than $250 for standard view and right now the site is showing $342 as the cheapest night in December. Having a hard time convincing DH to pay that (although I will keep trying!)

Thanks,
Vicki

Hi Vicki,
Yes, 342.00 is the cheapest I see with AP FALL rate for December when I look at the rate calendar, but when I plug in our dates (Dec. 8-10), and click "book it" it comes up as:

Arriving on 12/8/2011 for 1 night;
$266.00 + Tax
Room Type:Standard View Room
Package: None
Tickets:None
Offer:Fall AP Room Offer

Our rate was actually higher, because we wanted a downtown Disney view (wanted to see all of the Christmas lights and hear the music from our balcony!) so we paid more. We also have 3 kids, so when I plug in their ages and 3 of them, it only gave me the option of a premium view room.

Try it several different ways, then call to book it to see if there is anything they can find for you. (This is what I usually do).

I find that the room rate AP calendar is sort of buggy. It will say one rate, but when you click the button to get offers it is often different.

Thanks for the tip! I tried that and the rate it gave me was $100 cheaper than what was shown on the calendar! I wonder why they do it that way? :confused3

But alas, It's still more than I can convince DH to pay. We always go for my birthday and this year it falls on a weekend. Which also happens to be the weekend before Christmas! :scared1: We are expecting it to be very busy - but still I can't wait! :santa: We didn't go last year so I'm missing my Disney Christmas fix!

Enjoy the Grand!! We will be visiting the lobby to see Santa and to stop by Hearthstone for sure! And of course to warm up by the fire! :cloud9:

Vicki,
Hope to see you there! We are arriving on 12/9 for two nights. My youngest is 11, so she may be the only one who will sit on Santa's lap--but I hope to get lots of great pics of the lobby area while we are there.
