I haven't done it myself, but I spoke to someone who did and a manager. On a clear day, you can see a long way. One of the managers said it is possible to see the ocean. That sounds strange to me, but I guess it is possible.
It ascends and descends very slowly. Once it is at its maximum height, it stays there for six minutes. You can not run around in the basket. They place you in certain spots and you are supposed to stay in those spots.
I watched it go up and down a couple of nights ago. The only problem I see with the thing is that it cannot go up if the wind is over 15 mph. The manager I spoke to said it would probably only be able to fly about 50 percent of the time due to the wind. It is windy many days here.
