New Holiday spectacular coming to DHS

This is not good news for my family. Not a single one of us likes Nightmare Before Christmas and we're all HUGE SW fans who have been looking forward all year to these fireworks. No, it won't ruin our vacation, but this is not as exciting as the SW stuff for us. I'll be watching for reviews and possibly a Youtube video before we decide if we want to bother to watch it or not. Even the people who had no intention of watching the SW fireworks now have to change up their plans if they suddenly have an interest in this show. :sad2:

Brought this over from the other thread.

Woohoo this is exciting!! We loved Osborne dancing lights at Christmas time so we're ecstatic they have put another event on for Christmas time this year. 58 days and counting until we arrive

Well nightmare before Christmas is only a segment of the show. I think the show will be great from a holiday entertainment standpoint. Disney is trying to fill the void of no Osborne lights. Keeping things fresh and new will bring people back. Disney also can't appeal to everyone at all time. Not everyone like Star Wars either. IMO I like that they are changing things up. I just hope I have some fireworks show to watch the first week in January, no matter what the theme is.

To quote the show that they are using as the base for this..."Totally TINSEL!"

Well this explains the delay in announcing November/December dates for the Star Wars fireworks!

I was looking forward to the Star Wars show, but I am kind of excited about this as it will be Christmas season when we are there. If they Have the rumored Star Wars event on Dec. 17th we'll be able to get a taste of both!! My DW will be very excited for this Christmas show when I tell her!

Of course it included the obligatory dessert party.

Boy are the really "all-in" on projection technology lately.

Does anyone know why they would schedule the nightly show for 6:45 when Fantasmic is at 7, now there is no way to see both!

They were doing this with Fantasmic and the Star Wars show too. Rumor was that it was to keep large numbers of people from running across the park to see the other show.

both have been packed tight all summer long when they did this and disney doens't want to stay opened later just for a second show. there really isnt' the room for the people to do both.
