Has anyone stayed at the new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Cocoa Beach?

That is were we are going to be staying before the cruise.

Also is there much to do in Cocoa Beach? We are planing on staying Fri and Sat nights and cruise on Sunday.

Would love some suggests of things to do with our 5 yrs daughter.

Thanks

Define "new". I'm aware of a fairly new Holiday Inn Express, but it's been there for a couple years. It's on the wrong side of A1A from the beach, but there are lots of shops, services, and restaurants in the neighborhood. If there's a newer one, I'm not aware of it.

We have ressies for the Holiday Inn Express also (next Feb). I've heard good things about this place, but haven't stayed there, yet. I understand it's not too far from "The Perfect Gift", or the new Avis location. After your stay please let us know more about this place. Thanks!

Dave - here is the link to the hotel. It just says it is new....it might be a few years old.

Plutospup - I will be glad to let you know how we liked the place. We are staying 2 nights before our cruise.

We will be Cruising Nov 30th

the Holiday Inn Express is 4 years old - how do I know cause I live right in back of it and it blocked my beautiful view of the Ocean, but I must admit, I did go by and checked it out and it really is a nice place --across the road, you have Durango's, Perkins, Beachwave (souvieners), the Cocoa Beach Pier and then there is Dunkin donuts, also Our Saviour Church - my feelings you won't go wrong BUT you are right on A1A so it is very very busy -
Be careful with the children if trying to cross the road.
I do have information on Brevard county I wouldn't mind sharing - just drop me a note at snelsonbrown@aol.com
Have a great week
Always

CourtneysMom, I followed the link you provided. That hotel is in Cocoa, which is not the same as Cocoa Beach. Cocoa is on the mainland, about 12 miles WEST of the port. Shirley and I were both referring to the HI Express in Cocoa Beach.

Oh! I was lurking on this thread and printed out the info on that Holiday Inn. It looked really nice. Does anyone have the link to the one that is near the port?

Thanks!

My DH and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Cooco Beach in Aug. It was very clean and a pleasant stay. I will definitly stay there again. It was just my DH and I so we kind of just wondered around the shops. It lookes like when you first got onto A1A there was a mini golf go kart place that looked like it would be fun to goto. I hear The space center is near by also. Have a great trip

Thanks for the link. The cheapest price it quoted was $99. I was hoping for less than that. Has anyone else been able to get a good deal at this hotel?

We stayed at the Radisson for $69 last time, but I don't know if that will happen again.

This Holiday Inn does look nice, we were just hoping for less expensive.

DJ the one we are staying at is off of 95 about 12 miles from the coast is a little cheaper.....we are only paying 75.00 or around there.

The first link I gave.

Oh, 12 miles doesn't sound too bad. That is a beautiful hotel. Our cruise is 11 months away, so maybe you can give a report on it when you get back from your trip.

The price is better there by about $30, and it looks very nice. Thanks for the info. We will have a rental car that we won't be turning in until the morning of our cruise (after DH drops us off at the terminal) so staying 12 miles away isn't a problem.

Thanks!
DJ
