Hi everyone! I just joined here with hopes of taking my daughter to DW next year for her 5th birthday. This will be her first visit and I haven't been in years (early 90s) so I know that a lot has changed there! Anyway, I'm pretty clueless on how to plan this trip. Her birthday is in January but I would prefer to go later. From what I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that the best time to go is January-March, September-November? I also have NO clue as to where to stay, what to see, etc. Some background: my daughter loves Mickey & Co. and is a fan of Playhouse Disney (except for Handy Manny), she is getting interested in Cinderella and some Disney movies (her favorites so far are Cars and Bambi). There will be three of us going (daughter, myself and my boyfriend).

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Susan

How exciting to be planning her first trip. You will find lots of help here. There's a forum for just about everything. Do you want to stay at a Disney resort? There's a separate forum for that so check it out. I've always stayed at friend's place so I can't offer any help there. In picking the time to go, remember that it'll be busier during holidays and spring breaks. I've been in Feb and March and enjoyed the weather.
Keep showing her the Disney movies and watch Winnie the Pooh.
When you do go make sure you go to guest relations and get a pin that says it's her first visit.
Have fun planning...go visit the other forums for more information.
