I am thinking about getting the DDP with my package for late October...It is myself, My hubby and 2 girls 3 & 6.
I am sooo confused about this plan. Does it really come out to money savings? Alos can it be used at Chef Mickey's? and how many credits does it take there. I think that alone is worth the plan if I have dinner there.
Any advice would be great...

I think it really depends on how your family eats. If you eat 3 fairly large meals a day, it would probably be a really good deal for you.

On the other hand, if you are not big eaters, you might end up spending more if you use the dining plan.

For example, I can only eat a few bites at a time, but I need to eat every few hours, so the dining plan doesn't really work for me. We can easily share 2 meals between the three of us. We will end up spending much less than $90 per day.

The best way to figure out if it will work for your family is to take a look at the menus here: http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm and figure out what you think your family would eat during your trip. If the cost is less than what you would pay for the dining plan, it would be best to pay out of pocket.

I hope this makes sense :)

We love the dining plan!!! We have used it three times. My husband always keeps track of our receipts and on our last trip we saved about $500.00. We ate at Sci-Fi Drive-In, Akershus Princess Lunch (character lunch), L'Original Alfredo's, Cyrstal Palace (Pooh Characters), Hollywood Brown Derby, and Cinderella's Royal Tabel (before it was two credits). This trip we are eating at Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern, O'hana, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Mama Melrose's. I think that the only character meal that is 2 credits now is Cinderella's Royal Table. If your family likes to have at least one sit down meal a day and plans on at least one or two character meals, you just can't go wrong with the DDP. Hope this info helps.
