Hello everyone!
New to the boards, and yes, planning a VR, but haven't booked it yet.
Still trying to figure out the details & my hubby wants a "breakdown" of costs and plans etc etc before he completely agrees to a DW.
About us, we were married last April and have an almost 9 mo old baby boy. So we never had the time, money or chance to really plan out a wedding. Not to mention, I was humongus & miserable being 8 months pregnant. This is both our 2nd marriages. I have a 17 yr old son from a previous relationship.
What we are looking at: More then likely the Escape package, only immediate family & the kids. So really looking at a total of about 20 of us. And sadly, neither of us have our parents anymore, so I was going to have my Godmother give me away. My sister is married & they have 3 kids all under 14. And only other person would be my BFF & her daughter, who is 9.
An idea I was thinking was doing the Terrace at the Wilderness Lodge and then having all of us do Hoop Dee Doo Revue dinner afterwards (if we can do it).
The other idea was totally going Luau/Hawaiian theme at the Poly & doing the Luau dinner (but I hear the food isn't that good).
My husband is very much a Southern man-- wants his Sweet Tea, fried chicken and cornbread. We are not fancy-schmancy people. But I really want something pretty for our ceremony & comfy for our "reception".
Looking forward to dreaming with all of you!
Kelly
