Hi! We were originally looking to go Dec '09, until they pulled the 4+3 deal out! Now, the beginning of May (3rd - 10th). How is that time in all aspects? BTW, we are: Myself, DH, dd 4.5, dd 2, DM, MIL & FIL. We are thinking about the Contemporary. Is it worth the extra $900+ over the Value Resorts? I read they will have the Flower and Garden Festival that I know the parents would enjoy! Last question, When does this 4+3 need to be booked by? On the Disney website it says 12/20/2008 & I read on here Jan 24 (I think)? ALso, can I put a deposit down or does it need to be paid at once (we are using tax return on this)? Thank so much!

Well, since I'm first, I'll try to give you an answer. Not sure when you have to book by for the 4 + 3 deal. Most of your questions I would go ahead and just call WDW, they are very helpful. You normally just make a deposit and then have to pay the full amount within 45 days. They send statements (bills) to remind you (or least they did me).

The Contemporary would be nice, but actually I thought it would be more of a difference than that. One thing to consider is how much time you will actually stay at the hotel. Our first visit we were only in the room to sleep and take showers. Maybe used the pool twice that first visit and we were there 7 days. Saying that, we still went back to a Moderate for our second trip and tried a value for our 3rd. My DH did say he would never stay in a value for very long because the room is a little bigger in the moderates and I'm sure deluxes. We booked for next Labor Day and are going back to the moderate.

Well, hope you have a great time. Sounds like you have a good group going!

The deposit is $200 per room. The balance is due appox. 6 weeks from the start of your trip.

The 4/3 deal is pretty nice, right now you have to book by Dec. 20th. Rumor is that the deal will be extended but just rumor. You can always book now and cancel if things do not work out.

Contemporary is nice, if it is the budget-go for it. Moderates are very nice also.

May is perfect-we are going those dates also. Weather is nice, not much rain and not too hot yet. Also the crowds are pretty light.

Welcome to the DIS! Just curious if you booked your trip today. Did you get the 4/3 deal?

You normally just make a deposit and then have to pay the full amount within 45 days. They send statements (bills) to remind you (or least they did me).

They didn't send us bills. They simply sent receipts every time we made a payment. That did indicate the balance owing. You could also find that info online by punching in your ressie number.

I'm spoiled and find spending the extra for the Contemporary or Polynesian worth it. My DW and I found that it helped when the children were younger - quicker to get to the room for a nap and then back to the parks.

You can even walk from the Contemporary to MK in a very short time. [tried to insert picture of me and DD (4 at the time) in her stroler walking to the resort from the park with the monorail overhead]. - going to have to figure this picture thing out at some point.

I have stayed at the All Star Music, Caribbean Beach Resort, and even outstide the parks. The Deluxe rooms are bigger. When at the CBR we had MIL with us. It went well even with the room not being as big.

Good Luck and have a lot of fun. The more you plan, the less you'll miss.
