Hi,
I am planning a trip for October 08 . Just my two DS- 4 and 6 years old. Do you know if there are ever any discounts for purchasing an annual pass? I may want to go back for Mardi Gras Holiday (obviously we're from Louisiana- LOL!)

Thanks and TTFN

Other than being a Disney Vacation Club member (you can buy an annual pass $100 off then) ... I don't think there are any discounts to buy the pass.

However, once you have an Annual Pass, you can get discounts on food (if you buy a DDE card) and sometimes on rooms. I think there is also free parking for AP holders, and not sure what else.

Only 1 member of your party needs an AP to get those discounts, btw.

So I would only need to have one AP to get the discounts? If so that would be swweeetttttttt! I was looking at the AP information this morning and it would be extremely expensive for all of us to have an AP.

With the AP you can get discounts at some resturants (you have to check though, some are only Mon-Fri durning lunch hours, but would wouldn't need the DDE for that) and stores too (in the parks, resorts, and downtown disney). You get free parking (but that may only be for the primium AP), discounts for the spas, golfing, AMC in DTD, and sometimes they have special deals on rooms durning the year just for the AP card holders.

I've never heard of any discounts for buying an AP (other than if you are a DVC member or a renewing passholder), but the benefits of having one are many. Check out all the discounts you get with it here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-ap.htm Our family has had AP's for the past 8 years and we couldn't do without them. ;)

Also, if you get one and you are not on the dining plan, make sure you inquire about the Disney Dining Experience Card (DDE) that will give you 20% most of your dining.
