Hello....I'm new to this board , but not to the DIS.

After having a wonderful time at WDW in May, I couldn't help thinking how much MORE wonderful it would have been if I wasn't hauling around about 80 extra pounds!

So I am planning another Disney trip for May 2006 (9 months away) and am determined to be down at least 60 pounds by then...I'd really love it if it were 80, but I want to realistic. :earsboy:

I've been lurking/reading on this board for about a week now and I think it just might be the inspiration I need!

One of my biggest problems is late night eating. I work 2nd shift and am a dyed in the wool night owl. I usually work 2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm, so I don't get home from work usually til 10:30-11:30pm and I'm usually up until 2 or 3am. I know I shouldn't be eating that late, but well.......my brain and my stomach don't agree on that one! :rotfl:

I also am very bad about breakfast. I am usually up between 9:30am and 10:30am, but I typically don't eat anything until 3 or 4pm! I am just not hungry until then. I know that's bad and I try to force down at least a bananna or something, but forget alot of days. :guilty:

The only thing I have going for me is that I LOVE water. I drink tons of it and I have no taste for pop at all. I drink water all day long (along with coffee in the morning) and occasionally Crystal Light, but mainly plain water)

With my schedule, it's so hard for me to get into a healthy 3 meal a day plan, I was just wondering if anyone here is a night owl/2nd shifter, that might have any tips or suggestions -- especially for my late night eating problem?

Also, any good tips about using this board and the journals? I've never seen a place for journals like here.

Sorry to ramble on, but I'm excited and determined and can't wait to get on my way to gettin' rid of this extra poundage! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Sorry that I can't answer your questions! I just wanted to welcome you to WISH! Hopefully someone will come along that can answer your questions.

I'm a third shifter. Work 10p-6:30a. It is extremely hard to maintain 3 meals + 3 snacks + stop eating 3 hours before going to bed. Being up all night means I'm hungry during the night, BUT I want to eat meals with my family too. And, I would have to stop eating around 4:30a, which kind of makes it hard to have a decent breakfast.

If I come up with any good suggestions, I'll let you know!!!
