Hi ladies,

I have just booked an escape wedding for December 14, 2007. Our ceremony will take place a noon at Sea Breeze Point and we will be honeymooning at the Wilderness Lodge. After two looooong years of being engaged, my fiance and I are really excited to finally be getting married!

Anyway, I've been hanging out on these boards for awhile now, but never posted. I thought that since Disney received my deposit today and I am officially a Disney bride, it would be a good time to say hello!

I am sure I am going to have lots of question for all of you, but my first is, which officiant did you choose and why? (If you don't mind my asking...) That is the next decision we have to make and I am having a bit of trouble. I have contacted Rev. Day, Rev. Herring and Rev. Knox. Are there any others? (I haven't received my planning info yet, I just knew about those three from reading these boards.) They all seem nice, but I am not sure who to go with. Any advice any of you have would be great!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome. If you do a search at the top for Officiants you will see several past threads. Those are all great choices and alot of brides have used each of them. I am using Rev. Tim Herring.

HI Welcome to the Boards!!!

I chose rev Jack Day. I chose him because he reminds me of my pastor in my church at home:)

All the officiants seem wonderful, from what I have read on the boards. I Am sure you won't go wrong with who ever you choose:)

Welcome and congrats! I am getting married in January, and I am using Rev. Day. DF and I are Baptist, and we really liked him!:goodvibes Good luck and happy planning!:goodvibes

We are using Rev. Jack Day as our officiant. We are getting married at SBP at 2:30pm on December 14, 2007! Congratulations and good luck with your planning! :)

How cool! You will become a Mrs. just two and a half hours after me! I think SBP is going to be busy that day! When I first called DFTW I was told that only the 10am and 12pm ceremony times were available. I arbitrarily chose 12pm. When I called back less than two weeks later to try to change it to 10am, they said it had been booked!

I wonder if the 10am bride is on Disboards also? How weird would that be?

Wow, yeah SBP will definitely be busy! It is really cool to meet someone who is getting married right before we are... it would be strange if the 10am person was also DISer!

We chose Rev. Day. When I talked to him on the phone he was just so sweet and I immediatly liked him after talking to him and seeing his pic online.

So there is another 12/14/07 DIS bride! You're getting married at the WL? We are 2:30 at Sea Breeze Point. Congratulations!

Oh, well if you are getting married at the Wilderness Lodge Terrace then you didn't take our time slot. :) We were hoping for 10am at Sea Breeze Point. I think 12pm is going to work out well for us, though. Hey, if nothing else, we get to sleep in a tiny bit longer! That's always a good thing!

It's pretty cool that you're getting married at the WL lodge! I love the resort... in fact, that's where we're staying for our honeymoon! Are you staying there, too? If so, maybe I will see you around. :goodvibes
