Congrats on getting the tote (hopefully!) I saw the tote was available and hoped they'd restock everything, but they didn't. The totes went super fast.

Half of me wants to try Vault 28 today to see if they have the crossbody, but I also don't want to drive over for no reason. I wish they'd answer their phone. Hopefully they restock a bunch more of everything soon.

I have called the general merchandise services number before, when the Dooney drought was much bigger, and I was planning my vacation, hoping they'd be in stock then, and they were willing to confirm that they were sold out of Smith bags at all the park stores. Don't know that if they were in stock, whether they'd be willing to tell you what styles and where. Might be with a try if you haven't already!

Yes, there's a number on the Downtown Disney page. I actually just called it now and she said they still have the Smith bag left but nothing else. She said it was a random shipment and the others sold out quick. Also reading through this thread the Smith seems to be the easier one to find now at the Disneyland parks.

I'll have to try the other number to see if they have my small crossbody in stock elsewhere. I don't have a pass myself, so I can't just go in and check. I'll definitely give that number a try, thank you!

Was at WDW last week and saw the hm bags everyday we were there. I am waiting until all the quality issues are resolve before I purchase one.

I wish I lived near WDW, they seem to have them more often then here from what I've seen. I've always wanted to go there. The quality thing does kind of make me want to wait but I've always wanted an HM bag so half of me wants to just go for it, while the other half tells me to wait.

My wife was super excited when we found these on our Vaca last week. Took a chance on the lc against my better judgment. Unfortunately it has the flaking problem everyone else has. Who are people contacting to get this resolved? Super disappointed, esp for the price.

My Mom brought me home a tote a from her trip to WDW a few weeks ago. I'm over the moon and I love it, but I'm worried about using it because of the flaking. Have people had problems with flaking on the tote? I've read about the smith and crossbody having problems, but maybe I'm in the clear (or this is all just wishful thinking! )

Unfortunately, yes. I have the tote bag and this week I noticed two areas that had flaked off.

I am really sad to hear that so many people are having problems with their HM Dooney's flaking....I was in the right place at the right time last December and managed to get one of the original Smith bags with the red lining....I have had no problems with my bag flaking or with the red suede running and ruining things in my bag (or my coat) and I use my bag often. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. For those that are having problems, for the price of the bags, they should last forever.

I know I have had problems with my Vera Bradley Disney bag (the seams where the zipper is on the top separated). When I called Vera Bradley they apologized but advised that everything had to be handled through Disney.

To me, it seems that the quality of merchandise at Disney is going downhill. I hope that Disney replaces the bags for those that are flaking.

I contacted them by email from their own website. I still have not returned my bag but do have the year guarantee meaning I have until October next year.

I bought one of the totes and letter carriers in October. I would like to return the tote, but it will be over 60 days when we go for Christmas. Do you know if any of the stores would give me a gift card in its place since we are outside the refund window?

It seems that Monday mornings (like 2 a.m. Cst) is the time disneystore.com does updates to inventory. It has happened other days of the week and generally in the mornings about the same time. I have seen pics on eBay of the new disneyana bag from disneyland so I hope that one shows up online soon too !

At Disneyland I saw 2 of the haunted mansion smith bags and there were 3 at California adventure maybe 10 mins ago!!

I bought my LC on Halloween. I've worn it 5 times a week (to and from work) ever since. It developed the flaking/white spots quickly but I could live with it... until today when the strap broke. It popped right out of the bag when I was wearing it. The bag is now completely unwearable. My first call to Disney customer service 877-560-6477, was a dead end. They wouldn't talk to me unless I had my receipt in hand. When I called again (with the receipt) they gave me a RMA number but refused to tell me if the bag would be repaired or returned. They claim Disney has no say the process, that it's up to Dooney.

What are the odds that I get my LC back repaired vs. a refund vs. a new replacement? I'd prefer a refund, I'll take a new replacement, but I don't want a poor quality repair job.
