New! Haunted Mansion-Inspired Dooney & Bourke Bag

It was announced on Disney blog that 4 styles will be available this fall. The 4 styles will be: smith, shopper, cross body and wristlet -all purple. But nothing showed up in parks yet. I checked at MK this past weekend and the CM said end of September - I get there on the 27th so I'll report what I see.

Thanks moobar! I think maybe I did see something about that along with the announcement of the other HM merch coming in the fall.

I ordered some of the new HM merch (shirts & a Christmas ornament) from Disney online a couple of weeks ago. The Christmas ornament arrived within a few days, an included notice stated the shirts would be sent separately, allow 6-9 weeks. That time frame would put it right around late September/early October.

This may or may not have any tie-in with the D&B items, just thought I'd mention it,.

Lets hope so - I will be scoping out every store while I'm there. My DH already asked if he should start stalking the site again. YESSS! He scored the original one for me last year on 12/23 at 3am! I guess I'll keep him. LOL Now I want the cross-body one.

I am so sad at how little supply there is of these bags! Maybe I'll get lucky on our trip, which is so far away!

I don't think anyone knows with absolute certainty. But, since the Smith bag was offered online (sporadically), I'd say there's a good chance the new bags will be as well. Everyone cross your fingers they'll have a better supply.

I've had my Smith bag since June. This is my first 'real' purse (I'm a Target kinda girl!) I treat it very delicately - goes from the passenger seat of my car straight to a special drawer in my desk at work to keep it safe. And now mine is also experiencing the same 'flaking' that other posters have written about. (my flaking is happening up near the TOP of the bag closer to the zipper, unlike others seeing it at the bottom)

For what it's worth, for everyone in love with this bag who wish to purchase one, I'd seriously reconsider. I spent a fortune on something that is looking shabby now!

Yes, I can always return the bag to Dooney for a replacement, but I'm thinking the same thing may happen again.

Seriously disappointed.

Here now. Magic kingdom, Uptown Jeweler CM said purses will be released Oct 6th! Sorry if this is old news. Unfortunately will be weeks after I am back home. Rats!!

Do you have the bag with the purple lining? Mine (with the red lining) started to get the flaking at the top after a few months. My replacement bag with the red and green lining seems to be holding up okay. I can understand your reluctance to return it.

Yesterday, they had no idea what I was talking about. The CMs had no clue that a new one was even coming out. They guesstimated that they would show up closer to Halloween, or when the new HM shop opens.

I'm hoping for earlier in October!

Yep. They had no clue when the HM shop would be open either. I smiled and thanked them and walked away quickly.
I found all of the portrait pins, but that was all of the 'new' merch that I saw. We're attending MNSSHP on Oct 2, so I'm hoping they're out then!

Here now, spoke to several CMs, all indicated they didn't expect any more bags until late October. I'm still looking around, but I admit, after trying for a year I'm getting pretty frustrated and discouraged.

I really feel like Dooney or Disney are limiting the supply intensionally. Or their entire supply chain needs to be replaced. I think they are playing marketing games, they have a quality issue or they are limiting supply to keep it hot.
