For those of you who have dd's that are "repeat princesses" princess: at BBB do you choose a new hairstyle everytime or is there a one favorite standby that your dd always wants??

Just wondering...we are taking dd 4 to BBB for the second time (in 18 days) and I am trying to talk her into a new style so that the experience will be a little different and the "reveal" will surprise her again.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts/imput on this subject - thanks! :goodvibes

New hairstyle at BBB

Here I am, stylin' after my recent trip-

My girls have been twice as well, but a year between visit. My youngest did get the princess do again, but my older daughter chose the pop star do. They are already trying to decide what the want for their next visit, and my youngest says she's going to try something new.

I guess my feeling is that it should be up to the child. My girls are Princess fans to the max....I can't imagine them getting anything else. I'm sure the experience will still be a wonderful one, and yeah, the reveal may not be quite as new and exciting, but I doubt for the kid that the reveal is the important part anyway, I think that's for US.

I'd probably encourage them to look at photos in that huge BBB thread here on DIS to see the other styles and maybe pump up about how fun that looks, but ultimately if they want to stay with the traditional Princess, then hey it's all about them anyway!

Any chance she'd wear a different dress so maybe that would be different enough for you? Mine wouldn't as they have their favs, but maybe that would satisfy your need for it to be a different experience for them?

Remember...you're talking about kids that have watched a movie so many times that they are actually saying the lines along with the actors.....and still laughing hysterically at the funny parts. Repetition means nothing to them. Me, I'd be bored to tears watching most movies a second time, and I would fall alseep the third. They wear out DVDs from over play!

I think you misunderstood my question here. In no way am I wanting her to change her style for "ME". She is going to wear a different dress this time, her choice, and this is just a conversation we've been having, because as you mentioned on the other thread (which I've read), many girls, when wearing a particulat dress, do not "look" like the princess they are dressed as (for example - Jasmine) and mom's are asking if there are any new styles to make their next experience more unique.

My daughter was "herself" last BBB trip and just chose to wear a pretty sundress with Ariel and Minnie, on it and chose the Disney Diva (she wanted long hair). This time she wants to wear her Giselle dress and wants to look like a "Princess", so we have talked about doing the fairytale princess style this time. So, by me saying I'm trying to talk her into a different style, maybe I worded it incorrectly, but I meant that I wanted her experience to be unique, based on her expectation of the traditional princess look. princess:

OK - I'm done! I hope that clarifies it. :confused3

Thanks for your imput. I do appreciate it. ;)

We are going this October for the 2nd time. I too, would like DD to experience a different style. We did the princess due last year and I kind of thought since she wants to be Ariel this year that the long inserts would be cute. She even wants to dye her hair red for it! That's just not gonna happen! :lmao: We were looking at the BBB thread and DD seen the Pop hairstlye and thought that was cool with all the colors. I, myself, am not fond of that one, but if that's what she chooses so be it. We'll see what happens. But I"m with you, I want her to try a different one. ;)
