I know "if wishes were horses..." but I'm wondering what others REALLY wish they would offer with the new Studios coming soon? For me:

Cute console twin pull downs (not the sofa chair conversions)
TVs in bathroom mirror (or some other cool tech to really wow the younger generation)
Refrigerator and TINY microwave for emergency meals

Anyone else have thoughts on these or other items? Doubt Disney will notice, but we can Dream lol

I think the mini refrigerator (vs. beverage cooler) and the small microwave would have been to keep it similar to the other studios for those that use them. And, I know a lot of people do use the microwave in studios!!!

My ideal would be:

  1. King bed and a pull down queen size murphy/sofa (it seems like those would both fit given the size of the rooms but if not then King bed and double size murphy/sofa) plus a single murphy bed of some sort.
  2. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.
  3. Split bath with a shower in one and tub in the other.
And if going pie in the sky? 4. A stack washer/dryer. If that were included then I'd be good with a standard bathroom - no split. :teeth:

I think #1 would make it a home run. #2 is a no brainer IMO. #3 would be more costly but as PVB showed isn't impossible and would complete the trifecta. Add the washer/dryer? Oh my - it would be the knock out DVC studio. In my opinion.

From what we've seen in the rooms conceptual drawings I feel DVC has little imagination and isn't even trying.

My wish is that they’d offer 1 & 2 br.s - not realistic in today’s penny pinching conversion DVC environment - but that’s what I would wish for.

It seems like they would want to sell larger "point purchases" and with 1 & 2 bedrooms they can justify those. Families of 6 - or families with grandparent(s) along for example, are rather out of luck. I like the studios for lower points - but the wow factor is in the larger units.

Agree on the washer and dryer. While at Poly over Christmas we had wished for 1 bathroom and stackable laundry instead of 2 bathrooms in a studio....

I would duplicate your list but remove the microwave toaster and add the pull down bed inside the dresser. I think those little beds are awesome for kids

I think odds are decent that these new rooms will be connecting like they are at Poly.

I doubt dvc will add connecting doors so were the original rooms all connecting? I expect like most hotels there will be a % that connect and some that dont. Not stayed in that building so only guessing but also do not see dvc breaking through walls to add doors

I wish it was its own association separate from VGF1 but that's not happening. Mini fridges and microwaves are cheap and should be included in every room. The Murphy bed under the TV would be a nice feature as they're perfect for young kids.

I have not previously stayed in that building but someone else had posted they had connecting doors. That is pretty common on the hotel side.

Talking to the kids this morning about the VGF2 and they made a good point, they would rather own in Poly for the pools. Said the 100% no pool hopping between the two makes the VGF2 unacceptable as a purchase for them. Said even a one pool hop day pass per year or per visit between the two resorts would be sufficient to overcome that - but if it was just a magical extra (that come and go) they would not rely on it for a DVC purchase. They were excited about adding a VGF2 purchase (they only buy Direct) until they reviewed the pool situation.
