Hey everyone! I've lurked around (in a strictly non-creepy way, I promise! LOL!!) for quite a long time, but decided to bite the bullet and join in the fun!
Besides myself, my family includes my DH and my two boys, DS1 (10) and DS2 (8), and my three rescued furbabies: Howard Wolowitz (a black and white lhasa apso with one blue eye and one brown eye), Olive (a black shih tzu), and Wilson (a really bizarre mix...colored like a blue merle Aussie Shepherd with bright blue eyes, and the body of a Bassett). I guess we like long dogs with stubby legs!
My husband and I were married in March 2013 after 4 years together, and we had an awesome honeymoon in New Orleans. I think our little love story is pretty great. He was actually my very first date (we saw Titanic). He moved away in high school and we found each other on Facebook. I realize Fbook and romance don't really go hand in hand, but it brought us back together, so it gets a pass for that
I've always had a love of Disney. Every Christmas my grandma would get me a Disney VHS, and I still have them all in a box in my garage. They've survived a couple decades and 4 moves.
My one trip to the World was a doozie...12 years ago in 2001, when I was 19, I spent two weeks at Wilderness Lodge with my friend and her family. It was the trip of a lifetime! We even got to see Rick Springfield in concert at House of Blues in DTD, right against the stage.
I've pretty much been planning my next trip since then, and feel like I know way more than any sane person should about how to navigate within WDW.
I had the awesome opportunity to be a Cast Member at a Disney Store Outlet for just over a year, until my husband's job moved us out of state to our current home in Northwest Arkansas. I was so sad to leave, but I got to keep my name tag and my one year of service pin, and it is proudly displayed on my refrigerator.
We are on a countdown to our Disney adventure, 7 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter in August 2014. I'm excited to experience Magic Bands and FP+, and we're even springing for PP+. Bring on the park photographers!! I can't believe I'll actually get to be in a vacation picture, it's a miracle!
I have to laugh at how perky I always sound when I write things like this, and my tendency to overuse exclamation marks (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), when in reality I watch a lot of crime tv, am fluent in sarcasm, and am basically a professional eye roller
