There looks like there is a new promoter getting into the action during gay days Orlando. A new promoter has been able to secure Disneys Typhoon Lagoon for Friday June 5.:worship: Check out the web site www.letsgoplay2009.com

I'm glad to hear that a new promoter has stepped in and appears to be trying to return that party to it's roots a little bit.

But I feel sorry for the people working the gate; because you KNOW people who haven't heard about the change in venue for Beach Ball will be showing up and will be very upset about not being able to go in.

I would be willing to bet Disney and/or the promoter have contigency plans for that. After all, as a new event I bet they won't want to turn away people.

Good point.

From what I have read, and this is just a heads up for those who are going, but Crush and Gusher is not able to accommodate guests at night.

I'm glad to see the event is back on schedule! Typhoon at night is gorgeous!

That's the way it's been handled since the Crush and Gusher opened, so it's not surprising.

Bad decision to cut the underwater lights out of that area.....

Probably the same guy who decided to cut the lights out of the original budget for Blizzard Beach saving the company about $10K.

Hmmm....one good night party would have paid for that! :sad2:

Short sighted planning and cost cutting on the front end at the expense of increased revenue in the long term?

Sounds about right for Disney lately.

I'll be curious to see how this one goes. I don't have any plans to go to the parties this year. Last time I went to Gay Days (2007) I thought about going to Beach Ball. Maybe if this goes well I'll try it next year. That gives me a year work on looking good for it.

I think when word gets out this going to be success. The tickets are $65.00. The OMW was $95.00 and it's still $95.00 and it's @ a hotel pool.
