No, no. Basically you would have two reservations - one for the room only for one night AND one for your package with free dining (tickets, room, dining). They are separate from each other and the one night is not included in the package, it's an additional cost which you have to pay when you call to add it.

Thank you for your help!![]()
And keep in mind that you won't get any dining credits for that extra night, you'll need to pay out of pocket for meals. When you check out/check in on the second day you're there, they'll add them then. You may have to move rooms, but they try hard not to make you if they can. You can also book your package for an extra day's ticket to the park so you can go on that first day, but you'll need to go pick it up from the Downtown Disney ticket center or the actual Ticketing Center. You can't do that at your hotel until your package check in!wondering same thing, i need to start trip on 10/1
used to be you could link 2 res to stay in same room, not sure if still applicable? anybody know for sure? I'm already doing a split trip between WDW & Universal & dread idea of moving 3 times.

Disney hates to guarantee anything, I've noticed.quoting myself
i priced out trip on disney's website & the chat feature popped up...
so I posed 'hypothetical' question re booking a FDP package linked to day before room only or package. Was told that once both reservations are booked you can make a request that they be linked but there are no guarantees it will be granted.![]()

Web site usually updates around 5 to 6 AM (usually closer to 6 AM). My wholly unfounded guess is they update the resort promos along with the ADR availability. Seems to happen pretty close together.
I came across another thread about the free dining yesturday ( dont know where it is now I forgot to bookmark) that said they think the FD will be opened to Disney Visa holders tomorrow first but not the gen pop til a few days later....hoping that isnt true

Thanks for the info! Since I'm an insomniac I think I will log on around 3 or 4 and see what happens!

So I have my package already booked with dining. If it opens online at 6:00 am that gives people who are doing it online an hour advantage over people such as myself that have reservations and just want to add the code. So should I get on at 6:00 and make a new reservation and then call at 7:00 and see if I can add the code to my existing reservation just to make sure I get the resort I want and if I can I can cancel the new reservation? Also I already have ADR's made to my existing reservation so if I had to can I transfer those to the new reservation? Hope this makes sense as it is confusing just writing it!

I agree with this completely. We are a small percentage of people booking and the amount of us who actually knows when the website booking opens vs. phone booking is even smaller! I think you will be a-okay at 7AM.No. At least I wouldn't.
While FD rooms can book up fast, I am 99.999999% certain they will NOT book up, based off of new bookings, between 6AM and 7 AM.
I know we all think the disboards is the center of the universe...but really, we're a drop in the bucket in terms of WDW customers. Most people are not going to KNOW about this deal, and of those that do I would venture a small sample are booking new ressies on-line, tomorrow, between 6AM and 7AM Eastern.
If it were me, I'd just wait until 7 AM.
I have a feeling a lot of DISers will not be able to sleep tonight![]()
