New FP system at Space Mountain

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I was at Disneyland yesterday and they were using a new FP system at SM where you scan the barcode in a machine. It looked like a lot of managers were there observing the process and seeing if it worked well. I've done a little research, and I don't think it has to do with the possibility of magic bands, but that was my first thought!

There is a thread about it. It is a test they started monday. Disney has said it is a test, but not for My Magic Plus or furutre RFID technologies
