New Fort Wilderness Decals....

My experience has been that magnets do FAR more damage to a vehicle than sticky. Water will get behind the magnet and very soon rust is a big problem. Be cautious if you do magnets.

This happened to my boss's work truck.

Put them on the glass window and it will clean up easy. I agree no stickers on the paint or bumpers.

I like stickers, if you use a hair dryer to warm them, they come off real easy. I change them with the seasons, I always wash and wax between changes.

I just received my mickey/Minnie motorhome decal. Any ideas on how to best apply these to my travel trailer. We have the smooth sided fiberglass.
Thanks
By the way they look great.

BDR, thanks for the kind offer, you're awesome! :cool1: I'll take 2 of the first one and one each of the others. Thanks again, if we're ever at the Fort together I'll buy the first round. IM me for my address.

I would use the side hinge.

Just so you know, making and applying these kind of decals is part of what I do for a living.

What material are these? They are described as decals, but are they magnetic, static cling, or old fashion wet glue and stick? Are they thick vinyl like RV decorations? The enlargement sounds like just the thing to put on the blank rear of my MH.:cool1:

I understand your confusion. Before I got into the vinyl production and application biz, to me a decal was something that you soaked in water and slide it onto a model plane.

In this case to me it looks like self adhesive vinyl or what you are calling thick vinyl like RV decorations.

You feed the vinyl on big rolls into a special printer that can be up to 104" or more wide. It prints it on the vinyl using special ink and heat. It then rewinds the material back in and cuts around the graphic.

There is a wide range of printable vinyl from manufactures like 3M. Its a huge business

Are those decal images old? I ask this because I have one from 1985 and I was told that with Disneys never ending battle to be politically correct, they no longer have any Micky pictures with a musket or gun of any type.
Don't get me wrong, I've been a hunter all my life, not judging, just commenting.

You are correct. Disney no longer uses even the Mickey with the walking stick. Those of us who have the machines to cut the vinyl are making them so we can relive the good old days.

I finally got my vinyls on the trailer. We put on 10 different ones, mostly with the haunted mansion theme. A couple of the Fort ones though too. We stayed with black only, except on one of the Doom Buggy with the green ghosts in it. The trailer is white and we didn't want too many colors on it.
It was a lot easier to put them on than we thought it would be, just take your time and do as the videos say. Our largest one was about 4 1/2 feet long in one piece. Even that went ok.
We'll take pictures at Fort Wilderness next weekend when we are there. We may even put them on here if I can find a wi-fi somewhere. I don't want to use my limited amount on my broadband card.
If you happen to be lucky enough to be at the Fort between June 6 -19th stop by and say Hi. We should be in the 100/200 loops.
Yea! We leave in 4 days!:woohoo:
