We recently moved to Florida and we are excited about the play 4 park passes for $ 109.00
If you buy the passes at the disney store do they give you the actual tickets there or a voucher that you have to turn in at guest relations at the parks for the tickets? I'm trying to avoid standing in line at guest relations if I don't have to.

Thanks

Ed

The Play 4 Days ticket is handled exactly the same way as the AP/PAP's are. You will get a voucher upon purchasing which must be exchanged along with appropriate ID at Guest Relations or any WDW major park ticket booth. There you will get the actual ticket. You will also need to use the finger scanners each time you go into the park.

The Guest Relations window is different from the regular Ticket window. There is hardly ever a line there.
Enjoy your Play 4!

Don't drink the water! (just kidding).;) By the way, with tax it is $115.00!

If you plan on going to Disney in any frequency - check out the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass before you committ to the 4 day. I believe its a little under $200 per pass - allthough blackout dates do apply, its an EXCELLENT value.

We have the Florida Resident Seasonal passes and found that they are worth the money. This is the second time we bought them and we will be using them for the third time since November. We bought them two years ago and used them twice that year. We have already gotten our money's worth out of them.

My girlfriend is looking at going with us this time and we had originally looked at getting her a 3-day stars & stripes (military) ticket. (Just like a park hopper but with a military discount) and then remembered the 4-day play 4 ticket. Even with the military discount, the 3 day ticket was more than the 4-day play 4 ticket. So if she goes she will go using that since she is getting ready to move to CA.

But if you think you might go more than once this year, check out the seasonal pass. This year's black out dates are:
December 21, 2002 - January 4, 2003; April 12, 2003- April 24, 2003; June 7, 2003-August 14, 2003. We don't plan on going during the summer, so that is fine with us, and our tickets expire before Xmas so we wouldn't be able to use them if we were to go then, so it doesn't matter. We went after Thanksgiving last year, at the end of March this year and plan to go at the end of April, beginning of May.

Plus you do get some additional benefits getting a pass: discounts on merchandise, chance to buy passholder only pins. Check it out on the Disney page. When you go to the Florida residents section check out the prices and benefits listed for all the passes.

For those of you that are florida residents and have purchased an annual pass...how closely do they inspect your id?
We want to go over and purchase an annual pass but my florida license has been revoked (long story, too many tickets etc..) and all I have is an old expired license and I can bring that...Do they like take your license and write stuff down and check dates, or can I just show it to them in the sleeve of my wallet. The utilities are in my dads name or I could use that. So if any resident has purchased an AP I would certainly appreciate the advice.
Thanks in advance

sidneyinthesun,

Long story. Uh huh ;) Anyway, go get a Florida ID for now, it will make things easier. I'm sure they will look at the expiration date since it would be possible for a former resident to still have a old DL.

One nice thing about the Play 4 Days pass is that it only has one blackout date (July 4th) between now and Sept 30. If you think you'll want to visit the parks over the summer, you can buy the Play 4 Days pass now, and then upgrade to a Fl Resident Seasonal pass after the summer. The seasonal pass will expire as of the date you first used the Play 4 Days pass.

They definitely take the ID & inspect it, typing in your address, etc. The suggestion about the FL ID is good if you are a FL resident. Just go to the Drivers License office (sorry, probably bad memories there!) It only costs a couple of bucks & it lasts forever, no exp. date.

My understanding is that they require you to surrender your original Florida license to get an ID card??
Otherwise everyone visting would stop and get one on the way to WDW??

I know you have to surrender your license from another state when you move here & get a FL license, but if you don't have one to surrender, what then? You must of course have a valid local address though. Probably best to call or visit the website of Motor Vehicles. Good luck.

ok I have read in other posts that to be considered a Florida resident you have to reside for at least 6 months to be considered a resident so does that mean if you recently moved to florida less than six months ago you cannot buy the play 4 day pass?

Here is a good site that explains what is needed to purchase a Fla Resident pass of any kind. Ofcourse all IDs must be valid. They will input your address information into a database.

My husband and I just got our Florida ID's this morning. Not a big deal, except have all the proper documentation such as a pass port, I have Illinois Drivers License that they give you back, utility bill with my Florida address on since I own property here and live here part of the time. Be sure and call for an appointment and make it the first appt of the day if you can. Got right in.

Just a little info. on redeeming an AP voucher... if you are coming from North Florida you can redeem your voucher at the WDW visitor information center in Ocala. That is what we always do, so when we get to the park, we don't have to wait in any lines. You can do the 4-day pass there as well. Hope this helps.
