Effective Yesterday (October 19, 2009) there is a new type of Annual Pass for Florida Residents. It is the Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass.

As may be rightly assumed from the name, it is valid Monday through Friday only and is not valid any Saturday or Sunday. It has the same block-out dates as the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. It has the same benefits as a Florida Seasonal Pass.

It is valid for 12 months from date of first use. It specifically is not included in the current 15 month promotional offer. It specifically does not include parking.

The current price is $169 adult, $149 ages 3-9 (plus tax). There is no discount for renewal.

The notice does not have any expiration date, so it appears that it is not a promotion as such but will be an ongoing program. Of course the notice does, as all offers, state: "Offer dates are subject to change without notice".

Though I doesn't pertain to me I just wanted to thank you for keeping us up to date with ticket info.

wow.. almost a $100 difference from a normal FRSP with weekdays...

that is almost tempting.. but too late.. we've got our seasonals... i like the flexibility of weekends if I need to... I'd love to take a weekday off, and most days I could, but others i would rather do a weekend.

It might get some locals, but I can't see this being overly popular with other FL residents who live more than an hour or two away. It is 2-2.5 hours for us and we work full-time and have other commitments, etc. so if we take a "quick trip" it is over a weekend. Longer trips we'll spend some weekdays but those almost always also include a weekend, so this pass is useless for us in that regards. Heaven forbid we'd want to stay for two weeks - we could pay for tickets on the weekend or not go to parks for two days of our trip? Sounds like a great plan... not.

And if blackout dates are the same as the regular FLRSP I mostly just see Disney losing out on this deal from local people who currently have FLRSPs dropping down to this cheaper option and then not showing up to spend money on any weekends.

On the other hand, $169 spread over a five day trip Mon to Fri is only $33.80 per day per adult, which is pretty good, so two five day trips per year for $17 per day admission is perhaps doable and acceptable, though not having weekends would still be annoying. Meh.

I'll keep paying $60 something more for my seasonal pass renewal as I don't feel like getting blocked out of weekends. The regular block out dates I can deal with as it's so hot and/or crowded I stick to waterparks or visit the other area parks. The only time of the year that bothers me a little that regular seasonals are blocked out is the week and a half during Christmas.

yeah.. christmas time is annoying.. Summer is fine as what locals in their right minds go to WDW in the heat of summer to spend 3 hours to see Its a Small World..

:lmao:

I was curious if there is a parking pass they can buy or do they pay $14 each time to park? The gap to a real pass would fill after not so many parking fees.

8 times for me... altough there are ways to avoid parking fees.. you just have to budget time to get around.

They offer a weekdays-only pass for Disneyland, and it is insanely popular. And its not even valid on weekdays during most of the summer, spring break and winter break and holidays.

Same here my Vacation starts on weekends and ends on Weekends.

If going during the week this ticket is better than a 4 day pass which with PH would be $186 plus tax.
