New fireworks and parade

I know they're not debuting anything until May 22nd. Will they continue the the Night parade and the New fireworks and new WOC until they have another anniversary to have New for? Or will they only run until July 2016?

I would guess that Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever fireworks will run for several years. Remember...Dreams Come True was the new fireworks show for the 50th anniversary and it continue to run until last year. So I would guess the same will happen for Disneyland Forever. Likewise, the tend to run the parades for several years (e.g., Soundsational debuted in 2011 and Pixar Play Parade 2008 and both are still being presented), so I would expect Paint the Night to be presented for several years. I don't have as strong a feeling about WoC...my guess is that it will become the new "default" show and will last for several years, but it seems like changing WoC is much easier, so it's possible that they will debut other shows on a more frequent basis.

They've announced that Disneyland Forever would be presented during the holiday season in lieu of Believe...In Holiday Magic. No announcement has been made regarding the Christmas Parade (best guess/rumor is that the Christmas parade will be the daytime parade and Paint the Night will be presented in the evenings) or WoC Winter Dreams. If I had to guess, I would say no holiday fireworks and the reduced/eliminated Christmas Parade schedule might be something that is only happening the year. By next year (2016), I think they'll follow the pattern they established around other anniversaries, and resume the holiday shows instead of presenting the 60th anniversary shows during the Holiday season.

Thanks. I thought I read that the fireworks presented for the 50th were still shown(at least until just recently). This info helps a lot in planning for our next trip.

Sorry to hijack but any insight as to weather the fireworks will run nightly even in the off season for the whole anniversary year?

Sorry, but highly unlikely. Disneyland is in the middle of a large urban area and is surrounded by residences. They have an agreement with the City of Anaheim for the specific number of nights per year that they are allowed to have a fireworks show. They have them on weekends all year, nightly during the summer season and nightly during other times of the year when attendance is high. They would not be able to have them every night in the off season unless they forgo many of the nights that they are currently scheduled.

thanks. I didn't realize it was an agreement between the city and disney. That makes perfect sense though. We will be going the beginning of the Halloween season so hopefully we will get to see both Halloween fireworks, provided they still have the parties, and the regular weekend ones. I always thought it was a cost cutting measure that prevented them from running the nightly fireworks.

Fireworks is the one thing we missed that I was completely bummed about, so much so that our next trip we are adding a Friday night to our trip to be able to see fireworks.
