I don't know how I missed these two places in my previous visits, but one thing is for sure they will be on my return list.
Cove Bar. Yeah, I didn't catch onto this place until it expanded and word got out. We had to wait for a table, but it was still nice. Enjoyed the nachos and sliders a lot, quite tasty. My dd naturally got the cotton candy lemonade and was in heaven.
I had to try the Fun Wheel and oh mamasita that drink was potent! I didn't get the allure other than it was pretty (taste was not for me, too strong not remotely sweet) so one and done with that. Next time I'll order a good beer like my husband did.
But my new favorite is Alfresco Tasting Terrace. We went up around 5:45pm and only 3 other tables were occupied. Very quiet, great escape from the crowds place. Daughter was the only child up there at the time, but she's old enough to not be loud and respect that people are unwinding. Had a couple of beers (I know, no wine?! I was hot and wanted a beer
). Tried the 3 tapas on the menu -- charcuterie board, bruschetta, and flat bread 2 ways. WOW!!! We loved all of them! Definitely my new favorite place for an escape in the park.
Such a shame I was clueless about these places for so long.
