So I have seen all the comments about the new MaxPass and the impending doom that it will bring but in the news was a discussion about Toy Story and the Matterhorn getting new fast pass terminals. When are these terminals being installed and if they are already up, where are they located? Thank you.

We don't know for sure yet that there will be terminals. For all we know they could only be available under the digital Fast Pass Program.

The construction permits for the kiosks were made public months ago. They're not on this site, but if you google them I'm sure you can find them elsewhere.

That's good to hear. I really don't care one way or the other since we'll likely buy the add-on, but it's only fair to everyone else to have the same chance at a fastpass for those rides.

If they wanted to reserve some rides as exclusive to the add on as an incentive, I think 1 per park is ok. I don't know that those are the 2 best rides, but which rides I think should be the incentive would depend on how they handle the returns and how much FP slows down the standby line.

I actually don't have strong feelings on it one way or another. My daughter rides Matterhorn single rider and I might be the only person on the planet who just doesn't care about TSMM. I'm pretty much ok with however they handle that.

The part I feel strongly about is that I hope they don't go adding FP to a bunch of other attractions if this takes off and they need more inventory.

I strongly agree about not adding FP to other attractions. My family for the most part prefers rides that might not be considered headliners. I don't want to be fighting for FP for those rides. I hate that everything at WDW requires advanced planning.

My DS does love TSMM, but from a personal standpoint, I already planned to use a DAC to help with that line because being able to ride TSMM multiple times will make DS much happier to be at DCA. (I plan to use the DAC only when really needed for my son.) I do think there would be pushback from the average guest if a perceived headliner like TSMM is on MaxPass and not regular FP, and has extremely long lines. I am glad that it does sound like it will offer paper FP as well.

My question is, will the single rider line be preserved when FP is added to Matterhorn? I am the main coaster rider in my family and had counted on single rider to make it easier. I could grab a paper FP instead, but I like the efficiency of single rider lines.

I thought I was the only one who didn't care about TSMM! My family absolutely loves it and thinks I'm crazy but I just don't see all the hype. I could really take it or leave it.

It looks like SR will be removed... Sorry. Or maybe a new one at a later time, especially if the actual riders per hour is impacted in a large way (Lower Counts)

The new FP system requires a scanner to be installed at the entrance, so the CM will not have to hand scan every FP, and then of course, the new FP Printing Machines for Toy Story Mania! and the Matterhorn, and as mentioned permits have been pulled for all of them.

When we were there in early December they had the disabled waiting area blocked off in Toy Story one day because they were doing some installation work for the fastpass stuff. I'm betting they do most of the work without disruptions or notice and then they will just appear.
