Has anyone used this from MK to DHS? I am wondering if it is faster than taking the monorail to EPCOT and then boat to DHS? We want to watch the Star Wars fireworks!
Just the boat ride from EPCOT to DHS takes 25 minutes, not counting up to a 15 minute wait for a boat to arrive at EPCOT. And, not to mention, it's about a 10 minute walk from the monorail at EPCOT to the boat dock. Then, of course, there is the monorail ride to EPCOT.

I believe that the Express bus ride takes about 20 minutes between the two parks, and you are dropped off next to Rockin 'n' Roller Coaster.

I haven't used the express yet, but you could MAYBE save some time using the Mk to HS bus. However everything would need to be perfect. You'd need to just miss the express bus, the MK to HS bus would need to be there in a couple minutes, and little to no line to get into HS. It's probably better just to use the express.

That's why I hope the express is still there when we go in January and affordable. You may have to wait a half hour, but you may wait that long at the normal bus area too. Plus you don't have to bother with security.

And even better, you don't have to stand and wait and do nothing. You can do something, sit down, grab a drink, watch a performer, etc, while waiting on the bus vs. just standing at a stop waiting for goodness knows how long. So yes, you could wait but it's a very different, productive waiting vs. doing nothing waiting.

I have been going back and forth in my planning every day something would change. I am not sure if this would or would not work for us. 7 park hopper days. but we are taking a few days off for the party days so I don't know if id need more than the 7-day hopper ticket. I also have been confused in how good this service is. I am going to go back to the first page and try and understand how it will work more and see if this will optimize and save some time for me and my family.

I am planning to attend hopefully a MNSSHP or two. I will be at WDW for 9 days and I have a 9-day park hopper plus party ticket(s). I think this bus service works better on party days if you plan on going to another park on those days. Usually the entrance lines are long on party days around 4 pm. Hopping from another park can avoid the lines and you can ride the rides with pre-party FP* then get your wristband at the kiosks inside the park. I am planning to go to Epcot for some snack then hop to MK for the party. Of course, this plan won't work if you only have party tickets on party days.

Went from the Studios to MK yesterday. Took about 15 minutes. Middle of the day not much traffic. Easily the quickest most seamless way to get between the two parks. Love the HS/Epcot boat and monorail but if time is your issue there is no comparison between the two options. No security or ticket lines, middle of the park to middle of the park... what's not to love!?

Where specifically is it confusing you? It's really rather simply and straight forward.
Maybe post your specific areas of confusion/questions and those that have used it can help clear things up?

I can't see how this is NOT a time saver. Especially if they keep a set schedule. That being said, I think I may still like to take the monorail and boats when time is not a big issue. Call me crazy. I am starting to see it as a no brainer to use it between AK and MK. And since four of our six days involve those two parks I think it should be worth it so I will spring for the week long pass.

I think I have our plans for the express figured out some what. We are hoping MK will be open later then what is posted for August right now.
So we plan to go to one park during the morning or evening and then hop to MK a few nights and end our day there.
It is so hot in August and we like being in the parks at night so this will be perfect for having some extra time at MK at night. Or if they close AK at 11:00 like last year we can hop to it.

They key time saving is mainly three-fold.
1) Not having to leave the park to catch a bus. Getting to an exit and out to the buses (or your car) is time consuming
2) Not having to go through the security/ticket lines at the park you hop to.
3) Not having to walk through the entrance and up the "main street" to get to the attractions. (For example, being dropped off at Buzz Lightyear in MK saves you at least 10-15 minutes it would take you to walk to that ride from the ticket gate).

I have a two day trip planned and was going to do a hop from DHS to MK with a family of four (including a 5 month old and a 4 yo). While expensive, I am using the service to save us a ton of time (and hassle) to get from DHS to MK so my son can ride Buzz Lightyear. I know I will appreciate not having to push a stroller any extra just to hop to MK for half a day.

Ok more and more I read it, it looks like 100 for my family (rounded up) might be worth it. Now I have seen a few lists, and schedules here. Where do they pick up and drop off in each park? (i did read it's like every half hour?) We have two party days set. Maybe we will get a ticket for a park on those days too IDK yet, but I usually do take an afternoon break at the hotel. I think this may still help a few places. Maybe hit a few good morning rides one park, then hope to another (using this bus) then taking a hotel break after a few rides there. Then moving to another park at night and at late nights (like 1: am closing for the Magic Kingdom.) could move from the 7 pm closing in Hollywood studios back to MK.

PS: How long of a line is it to get on these new buses?

you can also look at the locations on MDE under services for each park, the only change is at AK, the location is now next to the Dawa Bar

No long lines for this service at all, I don't think we have seen a full bus yet

The only device the CMs have at the check-in location is a tablet that is equipped with a place to slide a credit card. There is no place for "Mickey-to-Mickey" to charge the pass to the band. Several of the check-in locations don't even have a counter or desk - the CM just stands next to the sandwich board that advertises "Express Transportation."

However, you should be able to charge to the MB at any of the other locations previously listed. I suggest either purchasing at a Disney resort or ticket window, as Guest Relations often has long lines.
We are planning to do this in December (if they still have it). If there is nothing to read the magic band, what do you get that shows you have it purchased. I will be purchasing it twice for seven days.

They can read MB with their Ipads. Just can't process payment from them
If you've ever entered the park for a party or a PPO ADR it's the same type of system they use for those.

So AK's pick up drop off is changing? Ok thanks, also anyone heard if they might use this for hotels too? I saw someone in dec ask if they were doing resort drop off too.
