New Experience! VWL

Believe it or not I have never stayed in WDW at any DVC resort other than my home resort, OKW! What makes this even more remarkable is that I bought into DVC back in May of 1992!

I would like to hear how the experience at VWL might be better or worse or different than my usual stay. I will be staying in a two bedroom lockoff for a week, just as I usually do at OKW.

Helpful hints will also be appreciated.

I have never stayed at OKW, but I own there. I just purcashed a resale this year for 250 OKW and look forward to staying there.

We stayed at VWL in Sept and all I can say is WOW!! The resort is amazing and my family loved it. I am sure you will love your stay.

the rooms are small by OKW standards - the living areas and master bedroom - can easily fit into the living area at OKW -

the balcony is like the one is OKW's studio - you might have several - but they are all small by OKW terms.

Now the good stuff - this resort is beautiful!!! be sure to be in the beach area (near the bar.hint!) - to see the EWP at around 9:35pm each night - check with the front desk for the time.

if you are going soon - take time to look at all the Christmas decorations - this resort really does try.....

love the room service!!!

let the valet park your car. the self parking is very far.

be sure to take time to walk around this resort - look for all the little things that WDW does well - be careful with the birds - yes they will eat out of your hand - but some lady was trying to convenice me that the birds were tame and won't hurt even if tease - well lets just say she got a surprise!!!!

transportation wise, it shouldn't be much different... you need to take a boat or bus to get anywhere...

we've gotten accustomed to walking directly to Epcot or MGM from BCV or BWV, so when we stayed at VWL in Oct. the waiting for (all) transportation was kind of a downer.

although i don't think you can beat the atmosphere, seclusion, or architecture of this awsome resort (VWL)
