Welcome back and I'M happy you had a nice stay. We will be there in 11 days and I can't wait.
I too get a connecting room because I have 2 teenage boys and when I booked it I asked that the resort view be waived on their room since they don't use anything in there and they gladly took it off on that room.
We love it there and the staff is wonderful!

Any thoughts about the new extra 10 days for ADR that Disney resort guests are getting but are excluding the Dolphin/ Swan from? This is upsetting if you are staying at high season. We are booked to stay at the Dolphin for part of our stay over the holidays but I don't want to miss out on getting good ADR's:( :confused3

I just love the Dolphin even though I am a DVC owner. Still like to split my stay and spend several nights there. :cloud9:

I heard about the new spa opening at the Swan but unfortunately I just found out that it will not be open during my stay. :sad2:

We'll be staying at the Swan on points for 2 nights this October. Currently I only have about 1500 points left in my SPG account and am wondering if they will let me have Club Level access for just one of the two nights. I thought I was going to have enough points to upgrade because the last time we stayed at the Dolphin it was 750 points but now I'm reading it's 1000. I know I can purchase 500 points which I guess is an option too. Can anybody advise? Thanks

Don't take my word for it but the staff at the Swan is so terrific and as long as they are not overly booked they just might give it to you. I do know a convention is running in October since my DH will be attending it so depending on when you are going they may be booked.
Good luck!

I think 500 points is $25, if that helps :)

I don't see why they wouldn't give you access for one night. Unless the resort is sold out or something. What level of SPG are you? Plats get automatic CL access, I think.

Hi, I am an SPG member that just received an exciting email upgrading us from Preferred to Gold level. Other than earning us extra points for stays, what else does Gold level mean for us??

THANKs for any info!! I will be staying at the Dolphin on the club level floor for 3 nights in August to start off a week long trip!! (first Dolphin stay) I made the reservation with preferred status. Do I need to update that or will Starwood just add the extra points to my account??

16 Days!! :flower:

We were Gold our last stay at the Swan in 2003. We were upgraded to concierge level (I think they should do this as long as there's availability - I politely reminded the front desk of this ;) ), and also were able to get a late check-out of 4 p.m. HTH!

Tinkaroo - Thanks for the reply. I am already booked in a concierge room - nonrefundable deal- and late checkout won't work for me this time either as I will be moving to the GF and want to check in earlier than later over there.

I will have to take advantage of these lttle extras next trip!!! (And I am sure there will be one, lol) :wizard:

Thanks again for the info,

Just to play it safe since you were recently upgraded with your status I'd just make a call to Starwood to make sure that upgrade has been added to your reservation. It won't hurt.

you should be able to check your reservation on the Starwood website :flower:

Hi, yes I checked and it is WRONG!!! Ugh.....I have had to correct them 3 times with this dumb 3 night reservation!! THey have also charged my CC wrong several times for this reservation. Word of warning - check those charges. They had an EXTRA reservation charged, then on my real reservation, they had an extra $300 charged.

Thanks for the input!!

Make a phone call to Starwood then if you haven't done it already. You should also back it up by calling to hotel to make sure they have it right also. I know their systems run together but I would still do it.

DisneyFans4 - I made several calls to Starwood and a couple to the Dolphin directly as Starwood told me the hotel's accounting dept. needs to do the refunding. It is taken care of as far as I know.

Just be careful! I can't believe the number of errors made on this one reservation. I made the reservation online - a nonrefundable SPG deal.

Everyone I spoke with was very nice and apologetic.

We have Preferred SPG status. Our last trip to the Dolphin we were Gold so we got a nice comp room upgrade. I think I may just ask at check in and take my chances. Does anyone know if you can buy SPG points directly from the Swan/Dolphin or do you have to get them directly from Starwood?

I imagine that you can only buy points through Starwood.

Hey Livs4Disney-I'm glad you called both places and got it straightened out. Check online again in a couple of days to see if they fixed it there and I would call back in a few days and reconfirm everything again to make sure they got it right.

I've stayed at Deluxes, Moderates and Values. We just had our first stay at the Dolphin and it was, by far, our favorite resort. With my teacher discount it was also a great deal. We'll never stay at anything other than the Swan/Dolphin again.

Thanks for all of the great information!

Sorry if this question has already been asked, I just don't have time to read this entire thread haha.
We stayed at the Swan for a few nights around New Year's '04. While there, I fell in love... with the pillows!!!
Do any of you know where to buy the "Heavenly Pillows" if anywhere?

Thanks so much!
From the Pillow Lover.
