New Epcot Food and Wine Premium Package for onsite guests only

As I posted earlier, I will be calling again and re-asking this question. I don't want to arrive at my room and be told, "sorry, you misunderstood."

Agreed. Can't wait to hear what they tell you tomorrow. I will also be calling and will post my answer.

I also called last night about the Premium Package, was told that the goodie bag, gift card, MB, etc was per person, not per room. She also had to send a message to someone asking.

It should clearly state that in the description though, IMHO, it clearly states that the "runner" can get your "purchased" food and beverages, verifying that you do have to pay for the food/beverage, so same thing should go for whether the in room things, are per person or per room.

If it turns out to be per person, I'm pretty sure we are booking it. It's a good deal.

Just booked the package. When I called the first time I was told there was not availability for the date I wanted. CM didn't ask for our room res. I called back and the 2nd CM asked for room res 1st thing. Found the date was available. She stated after you check into the resort that the gift bag will be sent to the room. She also said that you get the gift card from the front desk. You have to check in at World Showcase area the day you are going to the party between 9am-9pm to attend the party. She said that the credentials for the party will be given to you at that time. Said each person gets the gift bag. I'll be curious to see if it all works that smoothly!

Has anyone been able to confirm that the premium areas actually include seats? It doesn't actually say that anywhere so if you still have to stand up around a table that is not as good of an experience.

For anyone not doing the package I imagine that the WS is going to be crowded. Between the boths and these 10 locations there isn't going be too much room for people.

This sounds amazing! but $199 per person, but only one gift package per room makes it a bit costly, imho. At $199 per room, with one gift package seems much more reasonable...

The street party sounds fun (6 tickets, per package? per room?)
and you can get priority food from vendor? so you don't have to wait in lines? Intriguing, can't wait to hear about the reports! I imagine like most things there will be some kinks, but I'd love to try it!

Couldn't you just buy 1 package and split with your partner?

Well if you split it, you would only get 1 admission to the after hours street party, so it wouldn't make sense to do so.

Plus, each person would have one of those special MB's so that would mean that only the people that have those could participate. I would believe

Booked this package this morning for my two DDs. CM confirmed that it is one goody bag per guest not per room. In addition, each guest will receive the $50 GC, special magic band, and VIP credentials. You will receive the items when you check in at the resort and provide photo ID. There is a non-alcoholic gift instead of the wine for those under 21 or for non-drinkers. CM was not sure as to what that gift might be. As for the late night party, you have to reserve the night you wish to attend at the time of booking. The tickets for your six menus items at the party have to be picked up at the Festival Center the day of the party. You must show your VIP credentials and photo ID to receive the tickets. Buses back to the resorts will be running for two hours after the party. No discounts for DVC, AP, or Disney Visa.

I would be surprised if there are seats. The Illuminations Dessert Party does not have seats. Seats would take up a lot of room.

Thank you! Great to know! Do you get a wine choice as far as red, white, rose?

If anyone here books this, does the trip, and then has a Food & Wine MagicBand that they will no longer be using, I would love to buy it off of you for my collection! Just keep me in mind. :)

I agree. I wonder how many of these they are selling and if the special areas will just be as crowded as the regular lines. I am really on the fence about booking it. We are going the first week so there won't be time to get any first hand experiences.

I just got off the phone, and bottom line -- I was able to book the F&W Festival Premium Package for 2. The CM asked what date we picked for the after hours street party. Then she said there were no openings for that date or any date during our 9 night trip! I couldn't believe a mad rush of people had already booked all availability for the 3rd & 4th week of September, since booking only started yesterday. I mean, it wasn't Anna and Elsa. :confused3 The CM scanned the openings over and over. We spent an hour on the phone while she scanned and answered my other questions about the package. Suddenly an opening appeared on my date and I booked immediately.

The CM explained that people were putting chosen dates into their "carts" and that was tying up the availability. As soon as they cancelled the date from their cart, the availability opened up for others. I recommend to people who really want a certain date, to keep checking back because "unavailable" could change to "available" at any given moment. [Lousy system, if you ask me]

The CM said the valuable stuff will be picked up at the front desk at check-in. The lesser stuff will be sent to the room later. She also mentioned the rule that you had to come to the park the day of your street party to get the tickets and street party credentials. I asked where to pick this stuff up, because we weren't going to Epcot that day and we didn't have Park Hoppers. She queried someone, and the answer came back to check with the resort front desk or park Guest Relations for that stuff. Sounds "iffy". Jiminy14 posted that you had to visit the Festival Center inside Epcot park to get the food tickets. I believe him, but the street party doesn't require Epcot admission since it's after hours. Doesn't make sense that you have to use a park admission just to pick up some pre-paid tickets. :confused3

Booked it for our vacation!!! Only took three calls. Strangely the person who was able to book it did not ask for our resort reservation while the other two who did ask for it were unable to book it for our vacation.

I just tried to book for Sep 23 or 25 and was told that both were completely booked. I asked about calling back to check and she said that there were no cancellations or transfers so it wouldn't be worth it.

I looked in MDE and my "Epcot After Hours Live! Street Party" reservation (part of my F&W Premium Package) was listed for 2 guests: Me (by name) and "Guest 2." That didn't make any sense. First, a person had to be staying at a WDW resort to get the package and "Guest 2" didn't describe anybody or their accommodations. Second, that would mean there'd only be one bag of goodies and one credential, since "Guest 2" isn't a valid name for a credential or gifts.

The CM I spoke to on this call told me the goodies were only one per resort! She said she had checked on that info and it was true. I disagreed vehemently, and told her I had called twice before and the other CMs queried somebody by computer. The response back both times was, all the goodies were per person. Then this CM got a response back that it was per person and she apologized and took down the info about the 2nd Guest on my reservation.

Think about the nonsense. If 2-4 people on one Premium Package reservation, at one resort, bought this package at $199 each, this CM was trying to tell me there was only one goody bag to be shared. Now, what if 2-4 people on one Premium Package reservation were staying at separate Disney resorts. Seems like they would each get a goody bag. But if staying together in one resort, they didn't? :confused3

The CM wrote a note to somebody trying to get the website info improved because she had misunderstood it, and people on message boards were confused about it, too. Hope they do change the language to say "per person."

GrandMum, read my post (above, right before KnJ). I was trying to book those exact same dates and it was all booked. Then after almost an hour, while the CM answered my other questions about the F&W package, suddenly both those dates had availability and I was able to book. The CM explained to me that a bunch of people were putting those dates into their "cart," which was taking those dates off the availability list. Then later, when they deleted them from their cart, availability opened up again. Please try again, and again. I'm hopeful there really are openings for your dates. I refuse to believe the 3rd week of September is sold out already! Good luck!
