New England is...

All this talk about states makes me want to grab a road atlas, get in the car, and visit all of you all over the country.
Then I would learn the locations of all the states!

I spent a couple years in New Haven, CT. I thought I was in New England ... it looked like New England ... everyone there called it New England.

Now, perhaps, they were just pulling one over on the midwestern girl who didn't know any better, but I'm going to join the side that says Connecticut is in New England.

News stations located in CT consider it part of New England, but if you watch the New York stations, it is part of the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT). Very grey. If you go to Mystic, they consider themselves New Englanders, but I'm not sure you'd get the same answer in Fairfield County, which is closer to NY. I guess CT is a little of both.
