Where is the cheapest place to buy 4 adult tickets for the aquarium? Is there a discount if you use a certain credit card?: :flower3:

Our local Library (Canton) has a pass that admits up to 4 people at a reduced price of $10 each. That's less than half price for adults, and a pretty good deal. Might want to see if your library does the same.

ETA: Oops, just realized you're in NY. Not sure if there's a way to use a local library deal from out of town unless you know someone in the area to get the pass for you.

sign up for Boston's Groupon and LIving Social emails. I've seen aquarium tickets on one or the other for $8 before.

I don't want to be a downer, but I didn't think the aquarium was worth it...especially for those over the age of 6. Please read some reviews before you waste your money and your time.
Just my opinion.

I like the aquarium. I've gone to it many times over the years since I was a little girl. I don't think the new england aquarium is a show stopper its not sea world lol its far more of an education experience and they do tons of research and animal welfare locally. They have some really good programs and there is alot to do in the area. I would recomend visiting their website to see what going on when your in the area.

I think I'm biased since I've been going since I was a child and have had a once in a lifetime experience from the aquarium. My niece was picked to go shake hands with the sealion when she was 5 and when it was her turn she just jumped foward and hugged him. You could see the look of fear on the trainors face and the poor animal looked at the trainer like what do I do lol then he patted my niece on the back. The trainer ended the session I kinda felt bad for the other little kids. But my niece and I have a great memory.

If you go I do hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years.

I agree with you. The Aquarium mission is to educate more than entertainment. It's the same reason why a lot of people don't enjoy AK - they view it as a zoo. Both are so much more.

Can the OP become a member of Boston Public Library and get discounted tickets?? You can try. I just looked quick - they do offer NEA tickets. Good luck.

From someone that lives in the Boston area and actually has a teenager heading there today I think you could have fun if you can get discount tickets. I think if you have to pay full price for four tickets you might be disappointed but maybe it's just we've been there too many time.

I'm another person to say I don't think the Aquarium is worth the admission charge. We went back in June because DH and I hadn't been since we were kids. It was so crowded we couldn't get close to the tanks to see anything! If you can get a good deal, great, but I wouldn't ever pay full price.

If you are in a union check to see if they offer tickets/discounts. The MA Teacher's Union has free admission.
