I see that the EMM at MK will be "select Sundays and Tuesdays starting December 2". Has anyone seen an actual schedule of dates? Thanks!!

Thanks! More interesting in avoiding those days...lol!

I think you may be confusing EMM (Early Morning Magic) with EMH (Extra Magic Hours.)

EMM is no reason to "avoid" a park.

(Under the right conditions, EMH is also no reason to avoid... but that's a whole other discussion.)

I know the difference between the two, it just seemed that if lots of guests went in for EMM, then they would still be there for the regular park hours, much like EMH days are.

So, does it seem that guests who purchase a ticket for EMM do not usually stay for the rest of the day? That would be great! Just trying to be sure about my days before my fast pass day (tomorrow)!!!:thanks:

EMM guest count is historically very small. A few hundred people. We don’t quite know what the new format change will mean for guest count, but it’s not like it’s going to be 1000 people or anything. EMM and EMH are in very different leagues in terms of crowd generators.

I would all but ignore EMM for planning purposes, and be comforted in the fact that 9am park opening on an EMM day won’t later change.

Do you need to have a ticket already bought for the park before purchasing EMH? We might not have our tickets bought when the time becomes available for the EMH.

We stayed for a little while. Got on some rides that weren't included. But by lunch time we were gone.

We went over to Epcot and spent the rest of the day there.

Thanks so much! My guess would be that most people would not want to buy the EMM ticket & also a day ticket. Seems costly that way. You must be AP holders to stay a little longer? Appreciate your personal experiences :D

Just to clarify, EMH is available to any on-site guest with a valid ticket. It’s free.

EMM must be purchased and no, you don’t have to have a ticket purchased in order to purchase EMM (although you’ll need a ticket to actually attend the event).

But do you think with the expanded rides offered (much bigger capacity) and bigger breakfast location ... they are planning on selling a lot more tickets to this ... and all of these folks would be impacting Fantasyland and more at park opening. Just my opinion but I think from December on we don't know how big an impact this might make to regular guests arriving at rope drop. It might not be bad like now but I think it will depend on how many more tickets they are able to sell.

Totally valid points and something to watch for sure. I’m not convinced that the changes are material enough or there’s enough demand out there to double or triple (or more) the guest count for something that doesn’t always sell out as it is. But total speculation of course! :-)

I am an AP holder. But I went with a friend and she was not. She had park hoppers. So it was one ticket for the day.

It has been shown that EMM does not impact the crowds at MK.

Unless you are trying for a PPO breakfast ADR, there really isn't any reason to avoid those days.

Hi there! So I do have an 8:05am BOG reservation that just so happens to fall on the morning of an EMM. I had made that reservation specifically to ride SDMT and Peter Pan before park opens. Do they let those with PPO ride these rides before park opens on days when there are EMM? If not, I may just cancel the reservation. I'm not too crazy about the food there.

Thanks!

No, they don't. The people paying for EMM are allowed every minute of their experience. You WILL have a leg up on the rope drop masses for 7DMT though, which is still valuable.
