F&W Festival runs through November 11, and Thanksgiving is November 22, I believe. If your reservation is between those dates your chances might be pretty good for a 1BR or possibly a studio at BWV or BCV. I wouldn't count on getting a Standard View villa at BWV, though it doesn't hurt to try if you're looking to save points.
Hopefully you didn't purchase SSR with the intent of always staying elsewhere. I only say that because BWV and BCV will be hard to book at certain times of the year with 7 month window. If it's more of a "nice if I can get it but I'll be happy at SSR" kind of thing, then you'll be in good shape.
Personally, I recommend staying in one's home
DVC resort for the first DVC trip to begin experiencing WDW stays in a new way and creating special memories with the resort you call home. But they are your points to do with as you please, and I hope you enjoy them completely. Good luck on your resort change at 7 months.
