New DVC member with a question

Been a long time DIS member who always rented - now a member of BRV!

We are looking at a 2-BR at BWL or BCV in July 12-18, however there is limited or no availability. Should I book somewhere else and stalk...or waitlist and hope for the best? Thanks!!!

I'd book something as a backup and then both wait list and stalk to try to get what you want.

I hate to sound dumb...but i can make a reservation say at BRV and then waitlist BCV? I don’t have to have enough points for both?

can't book BRV and then WL BCV with the idea of switching the ressies if the WL comes through?

You can make a reservation, then make a wait list and specify that if the wait list becomes available it replaces the original reservation. Member services can help you with this since you are a new member. Welcome home!

Yes, book at BRV, then set up a waitlist for BCV. When you set up the waitlist you can specify that if it comes through it can replace your existing BRV reservation.

One other point to consider. There are a lot more 2 bedroom units at BWV (assuming your BWL is actually BWV) than at BCV. This would increase your chances of waitlist coming through. HTH

Unfortunately that is not the case at BWV. All the two bedrooms are lock offs at BWV.

You are absolutely correct. Any waitlist for a studio or 1 bedroom ahead of someone's 2 bedroom waitlist could potentially snag part of the 2 bedroom.
