We are new to DVC and taking our first trip(s) in June.

Have some questions.

Think we will bite the bullet and buy the Annual Passes. Just saw you can order them on line through DVC. If so, where would you pick them up?

Do you get any park perks with your annual pass, i.e. special reserved sections for parades/shows?

How do we know what restaurants give us discounts, and how do you get it, just show the card at the time?

One of my daughters is over 18, should she get her own membership card?

We are only staying 4 nights at a time so we don't get any housekeeping. However, do they or would they give you clean towels and more toiletries?

Has anyone been to the Welcome home Wednesdays? If so, what is it like? Is it worth going to?

Any cruisers: Are there any special parties/giveaways/etc. for DVC members on the Disney Cruise Line?

Thanks for your help and I might think of more!

When you order you can choose the "will call" option or you can have a voucher mailed to you for an extra charge (I think it is still $3 per order, but am not 100% positive on the amount). Either way, you go to a Guest Services booth to pick up the actual pass. Guest Services has booths at all of the major parks, the TTC and Downtown Disney.

The DVC -discounted annual pass has the same perks as the "regular" annual passes. AFAIK, the perks do not include any special reserved sections shows or parades.

When you pick up the pass you should receive a "sleeve" that includes a listing of the current perks & discounts.

Not unless she is listed on the deed as an owner.

On Day 3 (Day 1 is check in Day), you will receive a trash 7 towel service. Trash is emptied, towels are replaced and a new set of toiletries is given.

Can't help with the last two questions.

On Day 4 (with day 1 as checkin day) your towels will be replaced and your trash removed. Not Day 3. Everything goes by four days. If you stay at least 8 nights you get your villa fully cleaned on day 4 and towels replaced and trash removed on day 8 (with checkout on day 9)

As for AP or PAP, you can purchase them at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks or DTD. Just show your blue member card and a photo ID (like a driver's license). Everyone must have the same address as the owner to get the discount.

Nothing to add other than that your 18 year old DD does not need a membership card to get the AP discount. She only needs a government issued ID that shows she resides at your address.

Deb & Bill - Of course you are right. My error. It is Day 4.

As DVC members on DCL we got a welcome letter, DVC lanyards, and a magnet for our door. There was also a social event, but we didn't attend -- having too much fun elsewhere!
