I am a new DVC member and I am unfamiliar :confused3 with the transfer process. I am looking to have points transferred into my account.

1.) According to the DVC handbook - "Members are prohibited from receiving compensation for engaging in any transferring of points".

What is the transaction procedure to make it happen?

2.) If I pay by CREDIT CARD through PayPal will the seller receive CASH?

I have used PayPal before but only with cash transactions and there website is useless for information.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

It basically means that you cannot be paid for a transfer of points from your account AND another member cannot be paid for a transfer of points into your account. No compensation is no compensation. Points have no cash value.

Thanks for the reply. It seemed straight forward to me but I thought if you can "rent" points as a non-member for cash that somehow you can compensate a member for receiving a transfer.

Can I just "rent points" for cash from member to member?

If so, since I am a member call member services directly in regards to the ressie?
Thanks

that's logical enough but not how DVC wrote the rules.

it's true that some people do break that rule, but if things go south, DVC would obviously not get involved.

you cannot rent "points." another member can make a reservation with their pts, and you could rent that reservation for compensation/cash, but it would be under their membership number and you would have no more right to call about that reservation than a non-member.

Thank you for the detailed wording in your reply. It does make a BIG difference. Have a great day.
