New DVC member..hopefully

We have just put in an offer at BWV for 250 points & all paperwork has gone to disney. If all goes well it should close by end of May, hopefully earlier. What are our chances of getting a booking at AKV & BWV at the 7mth window, looking at 12/6 - 1/4!

Congratulations! Sorry to say but I think you may have a very difficult time securing that reservation. That is an extremely busy time for DVC. I would have a back up plan just in case. Good luck.

This is what we would do, we have our home resort at bwv and ssr but we usually try to get in at okw for first 2 weeks at okw. We have found at that time of year the 7 month window bookings are usually taken but there are usually openings at ssr. So we take what we can get at ssr usually we are looking for 2 bedroom then once we have reserved something we like, we ask to be put on wait list for okw. In your case if nothing is available at bwv or akl ask to be put on wait list. Your best bet is the first 2 weeks of dec its slower then. You will be very lucky to get bwv and akl anytime during that period. We have usually gotten our wait list request for okw for first 2 weeks of dec. But book where you can if you like the resort that has opening.

I think you'll be very lucky to get anything during that time, even OKW or SSR. Have a back up plan for anything other than December or Thanksgiving or New Year's.
