New DVC Member and upcoming trip using rented points

Okay, so my deed for my DVC resale was recorded today. Once I get the membership information I know that I can go set it up on the Disney website.

However, I have an upcoming trip in October using points that I rented. Will this be affected when I set up my new DVC membership?

Sorry in advance for the crazy question, just wondering if it's something I should call member services for....

No. There is no interplay between the reservation that your name is on and your membership.

You are still renting a reservation and are not an owner for that reservation. You can use DVC discounts if you have the right card (and if all you have are resale points, you get no discounts), you can go up to the TOTWL, but you can't pool hop (you have to be staying on your points at a DVC resort to do that).
