Hello DisBoarders, I've Been taking a Poll about this New Park Idea:

Disneys Dream Park

It features all of the defunct rides like, Mr. Toad's wild ride, TimeKeeper, 20,000 leagues under the sea, Horizons, and much more.

I'd also like to see what everyone thinks of this idea:

I Think that the 4 Parks are very mixed up as far as Rides and that a few Changes would make a "world" of difference. Please vote in the Poll if you Like or Dislike this Idea. Also please post your thoughts about this Idea.

Animal Kingdom should have the Following Rides & Attractions: Expedition Everest, Country Bear Jamboree, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Turtle Talk with Crush, Circle of Life, Maharajah Jungle Trek®, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail®, DINOSAUR, It's Tough to be a Bug!®, Kali River Rapids®, Kilimanjaro Safaris®, and Primeval Whirl®

Magic Kingdom should have the Following Rides & Attractions: Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Main Street Vehicles, Swiss Family Treehouse, The Haunted Mansion, Mad Tea Party, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Stitch's Great Escape!™, The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm, Journey Into Imagination With Figment , Pirates of the Caribbean, and Voyage of The Little Mermaid.

EPCOT should have the Following Rides & Attractions: Space Mountain, It’s a small world, Transit Authority, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Astro Orbiter, Indy Speedway, Mission: SPACE, Test Track, Ellen's Energy Adventure, Time-Keeper, The Hall Of Presidents (in the American Pavilion) along with all of the other Pavilions

Disney Stuidos should have the Following Rides & Attractions: Mickey's PhilharMagic, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, "Honey, I Shrunk The Audience", Soarin', Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Star Tours, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, Muppet Vision 3-D , Journey Into Narnia: Creating The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Sounds Dangerous - Starring Drew Carey, The Great Movie Ride, The Magic of Disney Animation, Indiana Jones ™ Epic Stunt Spectacular!, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It!, and Lights, Motors, Action!™ Extreme Stunt Show

This really isn't much of a rumor. Stuff like this belongs in the theme park boards.

Thanks

That sounds like Yesterland.

Attractions like Timekeeper, World of Motion, and Dreamflight are history because they ran their course. They were all closed for a reason. And even when the reasons were bad reasons, the attractions are gone and would cost a fortune to re-create.

Disney is capable of developing new, entertaining, innovative attractions. Disney shouldn't (and won't) invest in bringing back dated attractions.

Like I said this is really a rumor. It's an idea. And why would anyone go to a park to ride attractions people were already tired of. The whole concept in my opinion is dumb. I would never want to pay $70.00 dollars to ride old attractions such as Timekeeper and Horizons.

Thanks

You clearly haven't been around the rumors board very much, this is pretty typical of some of the discussions we've had.

However you do have a point. Think about this, Disney generally doesn't close a ride that is popular enough to justify it's maintainence cost. Why would they build a new park with new infrastructure rebuild the rides, for attractions that weren't worth keeping in the first place?

I agree that this type of park doesn't make sense. Moreover, I'm glad all these rides like World of Motion, Dreamflight, and Mr. Toad's are history.

well i love it...
in addition to the ones you mentioned it could have lots of great entertainment including:
-- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
--Pocohontas (not that stupid one in the AK, but the musical that was staged before Hunchback)
--The Diamond Horseshoe Review
--Tarzan Rocks!
And all the other ones that I'm not remembering

And other things to be brought back: the Melvin the Moose Breakfast (the best character breakfast they ever had)

It could have the TTA but with the earlier soundtrack ("hello, I'm your commuter computer").

And Alien, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, Mickey's Birthdayland, Legend of the Lion King, Doug, the Foley sound one that came before Sounds Dangerous (can't remember the name), and the one that was next door to the place where sounds dangerous is (where you were put into clips - god i'm senile), the upstairs Imageworks (so much better than the one they have now), Food Rocks (the last one and the one before that), Animation (and while they're at it, why not re-hire all the fired animators), and the original Animation movie (with Robin Williams), and of course the ones that have already been mentioned (world of motion, horizons, etc.)

And i'm sure there are lots of things i've forgotten....

I think I've seen that movie already and it wasn't that great the first time :thumbsup2

In this idea, can they at least load more than 20 riders an hour onto 20K? :confused3

I think that this is a great idea! You could put in all of the old forgotten rides, dig deep into the wardrobe and pull out the old uniforms for the castmembers and have all of the food be the horrible quality we remember it was in years past.

The beauty of this park is you could have all of the mediums that can channel old Walt dirrectly tell us how Walt really would do things so they could put their skills to work instead of wasting them on this board (sorry, that was rude)

Think about it, no fastpass (no need), no parkhopper option, Monorail stop in the middle, no bus service from any of the non MK resorts, only from TTC. It should be in the back-way back. They should call it the land where forgotten rides go to die I have a great name, but I would probably get flamed for being extremely inappropriate and/or offensive. I would make people go through this park to get out see why they did get rid of these rides, some of which are very lame.

that reminds me, it could have the only relatively decent vegetarian counter service they ever had (sleepy hollow).....these days a (real) vegetarian is basically a persona non grata at WDW....

the parade post just reminded me...
it could have that really nice parade from Epcot (Tapestry of Nations i think it was called)....
and the Aladdin parade from MGM a few years back, which was so much nicer than the current one...

While I am not sure that I would pay anything additional to go to this type of park...I think that it is a good idea. Think about all of the tv shows you watched growing up. They were all taken off the air...now there are reruns of them everyday and they even have their own station...Nick @ Night! Regardless...If Disney builds it, they will come!

i miss mr. toad, too, but disney should be moving forward with new ideas, not backwards with old attractions.

If you miss Mr. Toad, then go out west to the real Magic kingdom. It's still going strong out here.

Maybe this isn't such a bad idea. They could also put in a Skyway and bring back the Mike Fink Keelboats. If it was in California, they could bring back the Pack Mules, Mine Train through Natures Wonderland, Swiss Family Treehouse and America Sings.

But they would also have to bring back tickets. Here's one for those who remember tickets. If they still had A, B, C, D and E tickets today, what attractions from the past ten years or longer would have what tickets?

Any E tickets at DAK, MGM, DCA, or Epcot?

I'd give DL's Indy ride an E. DL's updated Space Mountain too. But MK's Space Mountain gets a D ticket. Just a couple of ideas.

Not only do i remember those tickets, I still have some of them.....

I disagree about Space Mountain at the MK. The left side is most certainly an E (since i hate the right side, I suppose we can give it a D).
