I like the "sorority" included, too. Good idea Mousteacher! Don't want to get confused with someone else!! ;)

I think with a little tweaking what we have displayed so far will do quite nicely!

tiffany Congratulations on being so close to your vacation! Meant to post this earlier, but I'm in "VB code" student mode! I know you will be thrilled with staying here. It's the best! ;)

~splashfamily! We're just going to have to get you down to the S/D so you can become a sorority member!

~ww52! Yes, caps and keychains to follow! :p

Hello and goodbye for now! Off to clean house for next weekend's campout!

You're Very Welcome!

I didn't even know this board was here! I notice quite a few of the sorority sisters are already in the yearbook so if I missed anyone let me know. Also, if you need any more help just ask.

Finally, I have one question that someone here must be able to answer....If it is called the Swan and Dolphin how come the fish looks nothing at all like a dolphin? Is there a story behind that?

"IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME!" :teeth:
VERY "SLEEK & GREEK"...wonderful!! I LOVE this idea. It's about TIME we got this all together. Thanks to ALL of you involved (ESP. DISBUG!!!) in this great idea. ;)

*Another day in the MAGIC...and time is winding down. One more eve to go...and we're off! DD begins school Tuesday (Orientation & school pics only...plus buying books $$$$...argh!). Wednesday and thursday are "half-days"...giving her much-needed time to acclimate. We actually extended this trip a bit past where we WOULD have been going home. Felt we needed it after all the changes in travel (8 times). So...we literally RELAXED at the Dolphin. It's been one of the BEST summers ever.

*We missed a shark attack at home in Avila Beach (just past Pismo in Morro Bay). We frequent this beach, but NEVER swim when there are Seals or Sea Lions present. I know these are the preferred food of the White. The one which attacked this professor was between 15-18 feet in length. Very sad...and a case of mistaken identity.

*Mom Poppins...the Good Lord never gives you more than you can handle. This is why he sent such a "precious" and special child as "Rachel" to you and your husband, (for he and he alone knew the demands of raising such a child, and the conflicts which would arise). Apparently, you and your husband are perfectly suited to overcome any of these obstacles/situations with your fierce love and determination. You are the protective force which guards over this sweet soul. You must stand strong in the face of adversity, and gift Rachel with the powers and strength to guide her for the rest of her life (by your example). You and your husband are her HEROES...her CHAMPIONS. What better point of praise, and reflection of the dedicated, devoted and nurturing parents you truly are, (than to be selected for the task). The path to righteousness is littered with such trials. Bless you, for the fabric of "family" you continue to weave, and the distinct pattern you can proudly call your own. Everyone has their own ideas of FAMILY, (which includes strife & struggle), until we meet someone like you. Thank you, for always sharing your "in's & out's" with all of us. I'm a better person, simply reading your posts. Okay...time to hop off the soap box. XOXO

*I'll post more later...and as I've been promising for weeks~write DETAILED posts of our days in the MAGIC, on the WONDER, and in KEY WEST...etc.!

TTFN.... DF99

YES...It's a DOLPHIN~FISH! (Er...pardon my manners, or lack thereof...HELLO, LOU!). I actually saw a Dolphin~Fish in the KEYS. Amazingly, it mirrored the fish sitting atop the resort structure.

Thanks for all the work in assisting us with the LOGO thingie...(I have a hard enough time just posting pics...LOL). Welcome to our thread. I hope you stay awhile.

Enjoy....
Always, DF99

Wow, off for a few days and i'm just finished catching up on the last 5 pages - i love the logos!!! My vote would be for the long, lean one that DF had on her post. Sleek and trim!!!
MomPoppins - as a teacher/parent, i think you have been through a tough time- i could not imagine leaving any of my 6th graders on the blacktop after lunch is over - always do that headcount. We also have a dd who has had an IEP since 3rd grade- (she is a college senior now) and since we are both teachers, know the letter of the law here in MA. I always encourage parents to read it through carefully - know what your rights are - thank heavens you and your dh are informed too. We are there to educate and protect kids - and that means serving everyone to the best of our ability!! Leaving her behind was not "the best!"
DF - today must be your last magical day for the summer- enjoy the memories.
Have a great weekend - Caroline

I agree with ozzie's picks!

:::looking sheepishly:::

hazing? did someone say hazing....LOL....I resemble that remark :)

:D Loubon - thanks for "walking" over here from the CB and the DIS yearbook thread to post. And thanks for your help on our logo. Yes, indeed, you have favored many of us and placed us in the yearbook - we are honored. :D You should join in with us when you can.

Disbug - How did you get your "disbug" in your signature? I tried using the "mouseteacher" from Disyearbook thread and I couldn't get it work.

I am missing something here as I read along. What is the yearbook and the sorority you are talking about in your posts?
Joanne
:D

TO everyone who put all the work into the different logos. Disbug, Hookedup, and Loubon, you have all done a wonderful job! Loubon, thank you again for my logo in the disyearbook!

Click on the link in my signature. You may want to start at the last page...

As for the sorority, you'll have to ask the sorority sisters.....I just do the artwork! (Go back a few pages to see the choices.)

HELP! I deleted (oops!) your email address. Have one more spreadsheet to send for your opinion! (Methinks perhaps I should shop around for PhotoShop software!! LOL!)

Thanks, so much!

Joanne ~ a few posts back ww52 suggested we start a S/D sorority since we have given tips and help to so many on this thread. Thus, our on-going fun with the suggestion. Disbug then posted that we should have a logo... The Sigma Delta Sorority (Sigma for Swan and Delta for Dolphin) has been hatched or spawned or whatever!!!

I saved the clipart into a folder and uploaded it to imagestation. Then I just replaced the image I was using with the clipart. If still a problem, PM me and I will give more details!

THANKS FOR EMAILING, LOUBON! Let me know what you think...

I appreciate everyone's votes and nice comments on our efforts. This is a group well worth it!

hookedup and loubon are the professionals here who know how to photoshop... I am more the "cut and paster" type! Besides submitting their own logo ideas, they have been able to translate my logos into the correct code we can all view.... Thank you both again so very much!

PS May have a few more to look at later!

We're watching the Little League championship game - Saugus is the town right next to my town. There is quite a bit of excitement around the cities and towns here routing for these terrific kids!:)

My DH says he has heard of this championship game! He is watching the Jaguars play tonight. Is this being televised nationally? I may see if he'll flip channels! Hope your team wins!:p

Sent you a PM on what to put in your siggie. Also tried it on the tech board as a test and it worked. We'll keep watching for your new "sig"!;)

Yes, the LL game is nationally televised. Saugus is palying Boynton Beach, FLA.
