New dog

Wrasp thee just adopted a new one year old dashound whom still doesn't seem to grasp the concept of going pee and poo on walks. Anyone have any advice.

My dog is 6 months old and has yet to go to the bathroom on a walk. I don't get it. The vet says it's not a problem. She'll hold it the entire walk and then run home and to "her spot" on the deck and go.

 

[The Mystery Machine]

Crate, walk, crate, walk, etc... until the dog gets it. I had to train 2 of them quick when we moved from a house to an apartment.

Have to have a stronger will than the dog and a whole lot of patience.
