I saw where Disneyland had a promotion going through April 14th. I believe it was 3 day park hoppers at a discounted price. Does anyone know if they will be coming out with a new promotion? We are planning going July 30-Aug 2nd.

They have for the last few years and if they do it should be pretty soon.

Somebody around here said that a Disney employee actually stated that a new promo was expected on today's date. Nothing so far. Grrrrr, come on Disney!

I noticed the hotel discounts for Annual Passholders was up recently. Based on WDW experience, additional discounts for the general public usually come out shortly after that. Let's hope so. We are anxiously watching also.
:)

DL added the 25% off hotels through June 18th, more or less extending the room promotion. And the "Spend One More Day" on packages, but it doesn't really seem to save any amount just promote staying more than the common 2 day weekend visit.

They just extended the Costco "resident" discount thru August 31'st.
Waiting for the 5 for 3........:dogdance:

I do hope they come out with a 5 for 3 pass as well, but with all the new attractions opening this summer, it is a possibility there won't be any. Disney might think the crowds will come to check out the new stuff without any discount or incentive needed. I hope not, but from a marketing point of view, it's a possibility.

Well maybe. But while more will come to see the new stuff, Disney still will want to try to extend visits past the usual 1 day and second most common 2day trips.

Add us to the list of waiting for the 5 for 3 deal. For the last two years that I have been looking I saw it and now of course the year that we are going, its not coming as fast as I was hoping. Does anyone know if you can ammend a reservation once you have booked when a new deal comes out?

Michelle

2 years ago, we had a room only reservation for 3 nights and was able to change it to a 5 day package with tickets once the promotion came out. No problem at all. :)

Muddyrivers, was your room booked directly through Disney.com to began with when you did that? Ideally, I'd love to book through Costco, but I booked a suite directly with BWPPI because Costco was sold out of that property already, and the other one I'm considering (Park Vue) isn't on their list ;( The only one that is that is available, and we've stayed there before, is the Fairfield. We may just end up staying there again, not sure. Not sure if we would pay more $$ than doing it separately, but the Costco pkg is $1352 for our 4 nts + 6 day parkhoppers, which inclues 4 premium meals, $20 Disney gift card, lanyards, pins, luggage tags + priority seating for certain shows, etc. I haven't checked into the 5 day parkhopper, but they told me if the 5 for 3 deal did come out after I booked, and it caused a refund, they would either charge us $50 change fee or we could just book something else for $50 or more with them (Universal, character dining, etc.) then there would be no fee involved...It's only $20 more overall for a 6 day pass, so I was kind of wanting to do that!

I originally phoned Disney reservations directly to make our initial room only reservations. It was for 3 days. When the promotion came out, we increased it to 5 days and turned it into a package. So yes, we dealt directly with Disney reservations. I'm not sure how something
like a COSTCO or AAA package would work.

Good luck and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 5 for 3 day promotion soon.

:goodvibes

The 5 for 3 is designed to give people a reason to go to DLR rather than stay longer once there... The last couple of years pre bookings probably indicated that WoC simply wasn't enough to entice people to come, this year with one retheme (GFS) one redo (ST) and one whole new ride they probably feel they have enough to not need the promo... Hope I'm wrong though...
