NEW Disney Visa Vacation Package Deal

Okay, my brain hurts...
Assuming the Fairytale 4+3 package comes out for us all, is it a good deal for us...
The kids play free was 7nights/8 days at PC for $1536, family of 4 both kids between 3-9. I think that is better than paying full price for 4 days and getting 3 free, or is it the other wat around, buy 3 get 4 free? That can't be it.

okay if it is for all Disney Visa cardholders..Should I go ahead and apply now so that I will be eligible for the discount?

Okay, sorry to go way back to this one, but which Disney 800 number did you call? I'd like to try it myself and see what they say. ::yes::

For those with no children under 10 (as in my case) the "kids play free" offer was of no use whatsoever. The 4+3 package appeals to a wider market.

I priced out the 7 for 4 deal for our family.

The Dream maker package for 4 nights for 2 adults, 1 junior and 1 child at Pop Century during REGULAR season was $1493.40 This is with Standard View. It may be a little cheaper for you as you have 2 children and I have 1 junior and 1 child.

The Kids Stay and Play Free wasn't good for us because unfortunately my 11 year old daughter is considered an adult in Disney's eyes (for ticket purposes).

What happens if you are going for 9 night ? do they add extra free nights for that as well ?

I called the disney 1-800# the lady was nice and she said that something is in the works and to call on sat and sun to see if it has posted yet I hope so because I just got a new car and was not going to disney if I could not get a good deal.

I called this a.m. and asked what the parameters were for staying longer than the 7 days. He told me that reservations could be extended for up to 14 days total at rack rates for the additional days. Hope this helps!

Okay, I called the 800# too and the first guy I tried said he didn't have any info on the offer. The second guy I tried said it's only for people who apply for the card with a certain code and then, when they get their Visa card, they'll get a special code to use to book the trip.

it seems that everyone you talk to has a different answer, i would love to know with is correct, i have been wasting more time calling and reading post about this then planning my ps for august. hopefully by sunday we will know either way.

good luck to all of us

I called Bank One(1-800-753-9304) today and spoke to a helpful person who searched for some information. He read back to me something that sounded very similar but with no mention of the 4 night price-only the $100 Disney dollars with the Dream Maker vacation and the exact dates previous posters have mentioned. Anyway, I almost applied for the card then & there, but what if you do have to have the exact code? He even mentioned the code- but I wasn't sure how to test it? I tried Disney's website but it doesn't seem you can put in a code when using their on line reservation system. It's so confusing.

I'd sure love to find this offer in my mailbox when I get home today!

Well, I certainly hope there are some good deals for AP holders. We decided on two trips this year, so we bought a couple AP's. If this FTP is real, it would only be good for people without AP's. I hope we don't regret buying them. It seemed like such a good deal.

Don't count on it. We bought APs last May and decided we would make two trips. We went back last Fall and ended up staying off site as there were no AP discounts at the resorts - FTP was still going on and that seems to be the reason for no discounts. And since we've got another trip planned for this May it should pretty much guarantee no AP room discounts. We just can't catch any pixie dust it seems.

First let me say I do not have a Disney Visa. Since I heard about the great deal I called Bank One. After talking to many people who had not heard of this deal I finally found someone at Bank One who works exclusively with Disney. I was told this deal is ONLY for those who recieve a special invitation in the mail . It will not be for those who already have a Disney Visa nor will it be available if you go on line and apply for a Disney Visa. You have to recieve an application in the mail with this specific offer. Thought you might like to know.

Happy Valintines everybody! Lets hope Disney Visa gives us a great gift today!

I received the same answer when I called Bank One. I already have a Disney Visa, but my DH received an app in the mail and there was no offer. I called and they said, "no deal" without the offer in the mail. I really think this stinks! Why should I keep the card? I'll cancel and reapply if I need to. I'll use my Discover and get 1% back for ANYWHERE...not just with Disney.

I agree wtih you 100%! Last year i applied for the Disney Visa thinking that i would be offered some great deals. I was under the impression the Disney Visa was taking the place of the Disney Club. I did not receive any signing on bonus when i applied nor the free pins they offered. Why should i keep this card? Im better off sticking with my cc that offers skymiles.

I haven't received any deals besides the 1% back and that's been a hassle at times. The only thing that happening is Bank One and Disney are making money off of me using the card. This isn't even close to the DC. I pay off my balance, but for the people who don't Bank One and Disney are making loads off of these people.

I think this is horrible customer service. I'll use my Target card too more often...at least the school where my kids attend will see the money rather than Bank One and Disney!!

Also, if I use my Discover Card more, I will earn more than 1% cashback. I don't see why I should keep nor use my Disney Visa especially with the situation now with Comcast who knows what will happen if I earn those dollars and then they say, "sorry, they are no more."

I didn't like the answer I received from Disney either when I spoke to Guest Relations. The first time she said that it was offered through Bank One not Disney...I thought that was a little off so then I called Bank One and they said they are Disney offers so I called back Disney and talked with the same CM in Guest Relations and she gave me a song and dance about there are always special clubs that people get special offers. Not a great answer and not a way to win the hearts of people. A Disney vacation isn't cheap...tell me why I should spend my hard earned money there rather than somewhere else? Why should I pay full price when others are not?

I just called the WDTC 800 number and spoke to a cm who said that a Disney Visa Card package was not available, but to call back within the next couple of days. I'm going to stay cool, and see how this works out. Meanwhile, I'll get all my ducks in a row about my vacation plans in case I have to move fast on this one if it becomes a reality. Lets hope!!!
