A new poll? Did someone not like the results of the first poll? And why out of 8 choices in the new poll only 2 involve "No"? In any case, I voted "No".
Please read my first post. I'm really not concerned with the results of the polls as they have no bearing on what Disney does.

As for not that many No options there's rarely stipulations to add to the word no. It's usually just no. There's a difference between a hard no and a loving no though.

I appreciate you creating this poll. The other poll was fine of course but it was polarizing from the start. The 'other' option at the very least could have been used on the other thread to capture those whose opinion doesn't fit into a yes or no box. At the same time there had to be enough comments made for you to be able to get your options. Either way like you I don't expect a huge shift at all but it's helpful I think to see more of what is the concerns in this way.
It is a straighforward question-do you want dogs at a disney resort or not? Reasons don’t matter as far as answers go. It is still yes or no.

In the other poll yes. In this poll there's room to compromise. So far (and of course this could change over the course of the day) this poll is telling me there's about 13% of people who are willing to compromise. Or don't care. Lol

I struggled with a vote but went with I couldn't care less.
All in all I don't care.
I won't be bringing my dog and really, I don't care what others opt to do.
So that's why it's what I went with.
I don't think it's the best idea at first thought but I know it works at Universal so I'm not seeing why it can't work at Disney.

Which is why you won't see us bringing our dog to Disney. Even though I'd love to have one of the cute little Pluto welcome gifts, I'll be honest. Still, not practical. Plus we fly. And it costs less to board our dog at home than to pay the pet fee to Disney. All reasons why we won't bring a dog to Disney. And why I think most won't. I really think people are freaking out over something very few are going to do.
I think if Disney would institute Universal's pet rules/policies it would really help. Universal's rules are pretty strict compared to Disney's.

I don't care either way and cannot believe how a lot of people are reacting to something that hasn't even happened yet. :scared1:
We don't want to vacation with other people's pets. It's just a personal preference. I understand there are lots of opinions, and it will be interesting to see how this plays out with Disney.
(And as I've said before, we are fully supportive of service animals. That is a very different situation.)

When someone else's pet impacts your vacation negatively, I would fully support your complaint. It's the OMG THE SKY IS FALLING reactions when nothing has happened yet seems crazy to me.

And I have 3 dogs, none of which will be joining me at DisneyWorld even though I have one that would die of happiness if she could. :flower1:

Well I disagree which is fine. There was a lot and I mean a lot of conversation on the other thread about the whys. Many of those from posters trying to explain to other people who didn't see much of a problem with it.

Besides on the other thread there wasn't a way to be neutral period (hence at least an other would have served that purpose). In this I chose "I couldn't care less either way" but on the other thread I just didn't vote...because neither answer applied at all. I wasn't a hard yes nor was a hard no. If Disney recinded the policy I would understand and if Disney kept the policy I would also understand.

Psychologically speaking on something like this where you're look if you actually want to get a true idea of what people feel then you do need more than a Yes or a No. You don't need to bombard people with a bunch of choices but offering more gives you more of an understanding. Some posters were like "let's send this thread to Disney"..well ok you could and they could read the comments but other posters were like "well see Disney should be able to see just how many of us are against this"..OR in the case of this poll Disney could see what concerns override any others. There was a lot of concern about dog poop..quite a lot of shall we say passionate speak about dog poop. There was some talk about "keeping an open mind but if something occurs like a dog barking,etc..." and so far only 1 person has voted for the "Yes. Until I step in dog crap or deal with an incident personally. Then a big fat NO!"

All of these numbers are subject to change and I don't think any of us think it will shift opinions. But it does give other posters the chance to have a more appropriate choice for how they feel..on both sides.

Pretty sure I haven't posted many "sky is falling" type posts.:flower:
For us, Disney is expensive. We choose to spend our $$ there because we love not only the parks, but also the resorts including the pools, hot tubs, gardens, gazebos and so on.
We have decided to stay at BWI in 2018, but I will wander over to YC and see how the changes have affected the resort, especially the quiet pool and hot tub.:sunny:

I think that's part of the problem. I think some people can't even stand looking at a dog. It could be sitting there not bothering anyone. Hence seeing a dog is ruining their vacation.

Well put!

So, at 12 hours of polling, almost 3/4 (72.4%) of Dis'rs who answered the poll are straight up against it...

and roughly 11% are willing to compromise with the right rules and restrictions are in place.

I wasn't speaking about you specifically but I'm pretty sure you knew that. :dog2:

I think a wait and see approach is very prudent.

Maybe reasons don’t matter but “don’t care” is a very different option.

I have a little yorkie that no one can take care of her while on Disney. It's hard to say if a yes or no. I prefer yes, but I do understand the reasons why people don't want to. We don't feel comfortable leaving her at a pet care center or anything.

It's also nice to see only 1/3 of the noes are dog haters. Lol
