My credit card company thought it was fraud. I was able to buy 5 so far and am thinking of calling it quits for the night.

5 is the max it'll let you buy. 500 dollars in gift cards for 415 bucks isn't bad.

I have an ancient Android phone running Oreo (~2017) that I charged up to try. It can't access that part of the Play Store

Well I ordered 1750 in DGCs from Giftcards.com going through Rakuten for 2X MR points, 5% Paypal rewards and using my BoA Cash Rewards at 6% (which now maxes out the 2500 per quarter). Seems to be under review but hopefully that clears soon.

This Google Play deal is a sneaky little bonus. I was able to load my 5% VGC and pay on that, so the first one through will end up being 29.25% savings with the Paypal points.

The terms of my GCs.com Paypal offer say 5% only up to a total of $20 CB (a $400 spend). My Chase offer is 5% up to $50 on a $1000 spend. So double check terms if you have both. Chase offer seems to be best for me at least since I don't need both spends.

It showed up at checkout when I selected PayPal as the payment option. The rewards pending are not displaying for me on the transaction in PayPal though.
